Cafe & Restaurant Sakura Kristal

In the neighbourhood of Ulu Kelang Taman Melawati stands an outstanding structure where you can find a good eating place serving good food called Sakura Kristal.

A pleasant ambiance of Sakura Kristal.

Crispy Wanton - it was a good starter warm with steam coming out of the wanton as you bite it. The ingredient of the wanton was fresh and delicious.

Fried Oriental Chicken Wings - Juicy & yummy in the inside of the wings.

Brinjal Special - one of the signature dishes at this eating place. Must try.

Fried Mixed Veggie- a good choice and combination for the lunch.

Sakura Butter Sauce Prawn - the prawns were fresh & tasty. I like it very much.

Indonesian Fried Rice

Strawberry Tower

Chocolate Buffalo

There will be a few new outlets coming up in the near future and if you are keen to start this business you can check it out the franchise opportunity.

Orchard Cafe - Medan Rampai Niaga, Setapak

We went out for a dinner without deciding where in particular to eat, so we went round and round and found this shop “Orchard Café” located at a newly developed commercial area Medan Niaga Rampai @ Setapak Kuala Lumpur.

The patronage was not that bad about 40% occupied and so we placed our order. The service was a let down there only 2 staff at the front line taking order, payment and retrieving used plates and arrangement of fresh tables.

Our drinks never come after a long wait which require a reminder, apparently they forgot…… never mind we can bear with it.

Thank goodness the food was good. We nearly gave up and leave the place. This RM9.90 steamed Tilapia fish in Thai style was fantastically delicious. We ordered another portion of this fish. I like the gravy mildly sour but tasty with strong & pleasant flagrant of lemon grass.

Sweet and sour pork was good too. The medium size portion was big (RM15.00) and was very pleasing to my sons.

Tofu on hot plate and Morning Glory (Kangkong) fried with belacan were nice and appetizing.

Go try this promotional dish of only RM9.90 – Steamed Tilapia Fish. It is definitely worth it and a good dish to venture.

We will come back for their western dishes and hopefully the staffing of this place will improve if not it will die of nature death.

Restoran Sai Gong @ Bandar Menjalara - Good Food

There are 2 Sai Gong or Sai Kong in the same neighbourhood, one is in Bandar Menjalara and the other one in Kepong Baru. I was asked to attend a dinner at one of them at Menjalara. The shop was crowded and most importantly the food was very good.

Let say all the dishes were absolutely delicious and worth coming back for more of their food.

It was a good dinner for a good occasion. It was the birthday of Lai Yoong & Wei Xiang. And a HaPpY hApPy Birthday to them.

Ipoh Gai See Hor Fun @ Old Ipoh Town @ Kong Heng

Previously this shop was known as Kedai Kopi Kong Heng and now it is called Restoran Ipoh Kong Heng. I prefer it as Kedai Kopi, a truly & typically coffee shop with good local food. During this particular visit the next door shop is closed maybe for renovation and the famous lane in between the two shops is under repair or upgrading.

I always like to patronise this stall sometime you are already there at the shop but are unable to savour the Hor Fun. It is because the shop is too packed with people and a big hassle to look for a table especially during the holiday seasons.

You can find Gai See Hor Fun in Kuala Lumpur but you cannot get this kind of superb quality and taste in Kuala Lumpur. The stock is awesome and the Hor Fun is real fun to eat.

Delicious Ipoh Hor Fun and a plate of crunchy and succulent Nga Choy (bean sprouts) is always a wonderful meal @ Kong Heng coffee shop.

Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng - Is this the Best in Penang?

The famous Mee Goreng Stall at this Kopi Thiam @ Bangkok Lane is awaiting for you.

Is this the best in Mee Goreng stall Penang? Maybe the most popular but not necessary the best I think there are better ones in the island.

You can have it either wet or drier version of Mee Goreng just let the Hokkien speaking master at the wok know.

The ingredient in the fried mee was generously distinctive and fragrant of the fried noodle was smell & nice. The taste of sotong in it was good so were the bits of potato, tofu and others.

If you do not fancy Mee Goreng there are other choices like an average taste of Penang Prawn Mee or locally known as Hokkien Mee.
