Kuala Lipis Noodles @ Sunway Mas PJ

I failed the first attempt to eat this noodle as we were late and the shop closes at 3.00pm but not the second time. It was worth the effort to come back to savour this extraordinary noodle de Kuala Lipis Noodle. It has a taste that is simple yet different from the normal noodles we used to eat. It was simply special, delicious and a must try noodle.
The roast pork Char Siew is supposed to be the signature dish, One thing for sure the skin is popping crispy.
Siew Yok was also good. You can have it half fat half lean or more fat layer.....all to suit your taste.
P O R C H E T T A - An Italian roast pork roll
Served with roasted carrot, roasted potato, roasted onion, pineapple sauce.....simply awesome.
Available on during weekends & public holidays.
A roll of this Porchetta costs RM130. A good food to bring along for any pot lucky party.
The boss, Mr. Chee showed us the porchetta in the making..... you can see the oil oozing out in the oven.....

Lunch @ Restoran Remember 126 Bukit Tinggi, Pahang

I like this restaurant most among the so many restaurants in Bukit Tinggi Village is because the place is big with high roof and very airy as compared to most shop lots that are normally cramp with poor ventilation. And car parking here is easy.
Simple stir fried water cress vegetable, juicy and crunchy.
Fried eggs with butter gourd slices.
Steamed village chicken don't seems to be a favourite today, probably the meat was a bit tough and does not look appetising.
This was the best dish of the lots a steamed frog sweet, tender and the gravy of finely chopped local ginger was awesome.
This precooked braised pork belly with yam was dry and it was only of average taste.
This steamed fish was another good and delicious dish everyone of us here enjoyed it.
My cyclist friends after a good ride at Bentong and we were here to reward ourselves for a good lunch before we go home.
A total of 18 of us came here out of the 30 over riders who attend the morning ride.

Wan Tan Mee @ Bentong Pahang

Yuen Kee Cafe 源记茶餐室 in the early morning a good place for a breakfast in Bentong town.

Hooi Kee 开记云吞面 in the name of the Wan Tan Mee stall.

Just look at the amount of noodle at the show case.
I like it with soup and it was awesome the noodle was chewy and the stock was delicious.
This stall next ti WTM sells interesting Yong Tau Foo, the spread looks attractive and tempting.
I had these YTF and it was good leh.

Wednesday Evening Ride by Kaki Foldies - Kenny Hills

For the last couple of months a group of us have been taking on the roads of Klang Valley specifically on Wednesday evenings. This is one of the regular rides the seven of us who took the roads of Lake Gardens, Kenny Hills and Little Jakarta.
The route we took for a total distance of 22 kilometres.
The meeting point was at Jalan Raja besides Royal Selangor Club.
While waiting for the full attendance we rode around the famous Padang of Dataran Merdeka which was currently under some kind of upgrading and the place looks messy indeed.
Warming up by going round the KL famous field.
By then the late comers would have arrived for the actual ride.
Our first destination was Lake Gardens
We had two cycling friends who came and join us for this Wednesday ride.
One of the beautiful spots for photography.
At a traffic light where we will abide obediently to the traffic rules in the name of safety on the road.
There are many roads in Kuala Lumpur that we seldom used especially those old roads built during the colonial days, this is one of them. Totally no town planning at all and was designed base on the contour and terrain of the land.
Did you know or remember that the old palace of Selangor is still in existence in Kuala Lumpur, this ride took us here for a good discovery in addition for a good exercise.
A peep into Jalan Mahameru during after office hours while we were crossing  from Bank Negara side to Kenny Hills.
There were several tough climbs but did not hamper us we enjoyed the narrow and undulating roads of Kenny Hills.
We exited Bukit Tunku via Jalan Tun Ismail taking us to Putra where the World Trade Centre is located.

At a traffic light over looking into UMNO building. From here we headed to Tiong  Nam, Chow Kit & Little Jarkata.
Most of us were hungry some were complaining to eat as soon as possible and  I took them here to savour  some Minang food from Indonesia since we were in Little Jarkata.
Plain rice with beef tendon & tapioca leaves
Plain rice with fried free range chicken & tapioca leaves

The ups and downs of our ride.
Job well done and we will see you again.

Restoran Lai Dai Restaurant Taman Muzaffar Shah, Melaka

Whenever you go outstation and do not know where to eat then a local help is very important. Always try to eat where the local eats it is always the best rule. Philip Chee recommended us this place which was nearest to Tiara Melaka and also near to our next place of visit (to attend a wake).
Steamed egg was gorgeous not too soft with sufficient bite.
Clay pot curry fish was just average with generous amount of  fish meat.
Besides the above dishes we had also braised trotter which was well cooked and most importantly it tasted good. A plate of ginger soy sauce chicken and kangkung belacan for 7 hungry golfers.
The place is simple and popular among the local people.
We tried a pack of this Tau Sah Peah by Aun Soon Confectionery and I find it as good as those in Penang if not better. Surprise surprise. This you must check it out.
