Back 2 Hometown for CNY

It is time to go back home, I mean my hometown for Chinese New Year and today is already the eve of CNY. We started our journey from home (Kuala Lumpur) at 5.40am and reached Penang Island at 9.30am (nearly a 4 hours drive).
And it is also time for breakfast.

Our plan to have breakfast at Genting CafĂ© (coffee shop) at Island Glade, Penang could not materialize (what a disappointment) cos it was closed so we ended up at this coffee shop directly at back of Genting Cafe. It’s new (to me) and by the name of Kafe Mandarin. As usual, getting a table is always a first problem especially during holiday season and it took us a while to scramble for one.
We immediately ordered the followings and gave our comments of the foods here at this new place at Island Glade. Curry Mee - recommended by a lady whom we took over her table (hope we did not rush her food into her tummy, anyway we greeted CNY) as it was supposingly to be good and popular. Well, not too bad but a little too much chili oil for me. Char Ho Fun - Good and tasty as it should be. Sweet and sour pork rice - Zuyi's food not a popular Penang food solely for himself. Chee Cheong Fun - ok only lah... I mean, it's only average mark.. Mamak Mee Goreng - Okay except a bit too wet, could be better if fried a bit drier. Char Koay Teow - Okay but the stall at Genting Cafe is still the best especially CKT with fried with duck egg.. Jellyfish Pasembor - something special and nice, worth the try. Penang Hokkien Mee (prawn mee) - below average.
Apom Apom - good but sorry forget to take images of it..
Wow, 5 of us and we took so much foods.
