I prefer the Penang Pasembur.
"Perniagaan Kuih Udang Alor Gajah" - is the name of this end stall, a popular stall it was packed during lunch hour.
Local carbonated drinks of mixed fruits, orange, grape & sarsi. These are the locally produced carbonated drinks which are still available in Alor Gajah. I remember I had such drinks during my childhood days in Padang Serai & Kulim. I thought it was a thing of the past.
nice place for quick snack.
ReplyDeletethe pasembur really doesn't look good, I agree with you, Penang pasembur is much better!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right TaiLim, one look at those aerated water bottles (local or may be even kampung products)reminds me of those of our Padang Serai days when e bottle of lemonade cost 10 sen!! When I moved with my parents to Kulim in late 1959 and live in Bukit Awi I found that aerated water factory that we used to drink in Padang Serai and it was just about 200 meters from where I lived!!
ReplyDeletefoodbin - this is a popular spot in AG for food.
ReplyDeleteSimpleGirl - Yes Penang Pasembor is the best!
Dave Li - was the factory located at the bend of Jalan Aman, if I remember right and the name of the Co with a word "Aerated"?
