Leng Kee (Claypot) Bak Kut Teh @ Ipoh Road, Kuala Lumpur
You can find a no. of Bak Kut Teh shops or stalls along Ipoh Road, be it day time or night time. In fact, Kuala Lumpur is renowned for its Bak Kut Teh, it has become a signature cuisine for tourists or visitors to Kuala Lumpur.
There was once I was ridiculed by a Taxi man in Singapore when I was asking for a place for Bak Kut Teh and he said “My friend, you are from KL and you are going for BKT in Balestier Road in Singapore, you must be crazy”.
A night at this old timer Bak Kut Teh shop at Jalan Ipoh, probably at 3rd Mile of Ipoh Road – “Leng Kee Bak Kut Teh Centre” with my meat loving sons.
Clay pot full of mixed pork parts and meat - a portion for 3 persons.
A bowl of braised pork meat which is a must for the boys.
“Hey brother, eat slowly and leave some for me okay” said the elder one.
Leng Kee? I haven't try that before. I only tried Klang one. Have to try that out.
ReplyDeleteSteven Goh - Yes try this place and next to the shop is a porridge with poached chicken stall, not bad too.
