Hakka Marble @ Taman Bukit Anggerik, Cheras

This shop is popular for their Hakka abacus and the abacus seed is yellow in colour. They called it Hakka Marble. In fact they named after the shop “Restoran Hakka Marble”.

The yellow colour is due to the flavouring of Pumpkin. Normally Hakka abacus is flavoured with either yam or sweet potatoes but over here it’s yellow pumpkin.

Greasy Hokkien Mee probably could be the most sin fullest noodle in the world. It has lot of oil and lard in it …… and probably the most delicious food in the world too.

Fried Pek Ko another interesting Hokkien delicacy is available here too.

This is the most common fried noodle in Town, Cantonese Fried Koay Teow mixed with Beehun.

And a bowl of Hokkien Bak Key soup.

I was told Hakka Marble has been upgraded and moved into this new premise not too long ago. The service is good, the shop is clean and conducive for a plate of noodle.

  2. I had more or less the same cravings satisfied, over at Hua Xing in Sungei Way. I could imagine my parents, grandparents, and ancestors eating almost the same dishes.
