For a Sunday the crowd at Jusco AU2 Setiawangsa was not encouraging and if I were a retailer at the mall I would cry. This is our first visit to Assam Pedas Melaka run by Mingomingo the up and coming Ice Cream provider in town.
The Cendol Classic RM5.00 was a disappointment, the green cendol was stiff it is supposed to be soft and slimy. The red bean was equally hard definitely a no no dessert.
Assam Pedas Ikan Pari RM9.90 (sting ray) was only of an average quality nothing spectacular to talk about but palatable.
Ikan Bakar Air Asam RM5.90 (grilled mackerel) was good although it does not look good in the photo. The sauce for the fish was passable.
My son enjoyed the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Rempah RM10.50, I was skeptical about the over fried chicken. Just look at the colour of the fried chicken and yet he said it was good.
The plain rice comes with salad (ulam) and a small piece of fried salted fish. The sambal belacan was good.
Mango salad RM3.00 (Acar Mangga Nonya)was slightly above average.
