From Taman Setiawangsa to Serdang Raya is quite a distant to travel for claypot Loh See Fun. I know I have blogged this eating place before, I did a check and found out it was October 2007 I posted it. Time really flies and I am going there again for a dinner hosted by Kok Leong.
It was 6.50pm the place was already building up with makan kakis, we got a table for 12 persons and made the necessary order while waiting for the rest to come.
Kam Heong la la clams came first in the order which were sinfully delicious. It was fried with small oily dry shrimps making it simply awesome.
Herbal stewed chicken was yummy & tender in aluminium foil. And steamed Tilapia fish was also gorgeous with its superb sauce topping. Again it was the lard that made it magical.
This is the main dish and the main reason for coming to Yoke Heng. The Loh See Fun is still as good. Again there was lot of sinful ingredients in the pot such as lard, dried shrimps, minced meat all formulating for a wonderful & signature dish in Yoke Heng.
Two dishes of veggies were placed for the evening. One a simple stir fried sweet potato leaves and Hong Kong Kai Lan fried with roast pig. Both were good.
Marmite pork rib served in aluminium foil. It was a bit dry & tough but the taste was nice with slight spicy flavor.
Fried mantis prawn fried with dried chili was also dry on the outside but reasonably tender and tasty in the inner bite.
