Cycling with Penang Folding Bike Group on a Beautiful Sunday (11th May 2014)

It was fun riding with this group of foldies from Penang. Thanks to Jimmy Wah, Aliya, Hooi Theng, Agnes, GE & Tien Tien for a wonderful morning.

I started from my mother's place at Farlim and was looking forward meeting Jimmy and the group. Thanks to Facebook for making this arrangement possible if not I would be roaming alone in Georgetown.

I just could not resist to have a earlier breakfast at Kim Lee kopitiam for Ah Hai's Koay Teow Thng.

Our meeting point was at Jalan Zainal Abidin (near Umno Building Burmah Road). Most of them were riding 12" Nanoo folding bikes made of aluminium.

I followed them to Seong Huat Street Art Cafe, Larut Road for a black coffee while they were having their breakfast.

We started the ride to Jesselton Garden, Youth Park and Botanic Garden

 I like the idea of Jimmy taking inner roads with lesser traffic.

These were cyclists finishing their round for an event "Penang Round Island Amateur Challenge" and we shared the same road with them at Gurney Drive.

For the first time I actually visited Penang Car Free Day at Beach Street.

Bicycle rental business seems to be doing very well.

We roamed the Heritage, moving around like a tourist and enjoying the crowd..

It was time to chill out and we found a new outlet at Campbell Street which has just opened for 3 months. 

Kantan Cafe is definitely bicycle friendly they allowed us to park our bicycles inside the cafe.

A cool place to hang out with nice drinks & foods, interesting wall mural and we had the entire up upstairs by ourselves. Once again Thanks to Jimmy & Co please do make a trip to KL and we will show you around. Cheers!!!
