Restoran Wai Kei SS2 for a Hakka Home Cooked Food

This street at SS2/10 is always happening for food lovers, you get to see new food outlets opening after a while, competition is keen and one has to be good to survive its existence. Welcome Wai Kei.
Our usual dinner on a Saturday evening and a mere walking distance from my In laws' house to the glutton street of SS2. This time we have Yap family from Singapore with us and thanks to Evelyn for proposing this new place. It was a right choice indeed.
We started off with this free range poached chicken everyone was very happy with it and a must try dish.
Hakka Cha Yuk was another delicious dish on the table and kind of a home cooked meal for everyone.
Another popular Hakka home cooked dish Kau Yuk 芋头扣肉 , the pork belly and slices of yam were perfectly cooked and the taste was gorgeous.
Signature fried Tofu was also a favourite among us.
Chinese wine soup with chicken, fried egg and ginger stripes was another yummy choice, some of us even compared with others and vouched that it's the best so far.
This vinegear trotter came by mistake and it was touched and considered sold, Thank goodness for the mistake I love the gingery sweet taste....
Mixed veggie stir fried with sambal belacan commonly known as the Four Heavenly King but without my favourite petai.
Everyone seems to enjoy this home cooked Hakka dishes but the last two noodle dishes were nothing special. Overall the food here is good. We shall be back.
