Hokkien Dishes @ Pu Yuan 炒薯粉小食馆 Jalan Kelang Lama

One more Wednesday ride before we go for our Chinese New Year break, we decided to hit Old Klang Road for the evening with a plan to patronise a Thai BBQ outlet which did not work out at the end. Simply because it was not bicycle friendly at all. We found a better place and had a good time in this humble corner serving traditional Hokkien dishes.
Fried sweet potato flour noodle was everyone's favourite and one plate wasn't enough we ordered another to make sure everyone is happy. By the way this dish is quite difficult to find in this city there is only a few places that serve this delicacy.
Fried rice cakes (炒白粿) - Another popular Hokkien dish "Pei Ker" that is also delicious, comparatively this fried noodle could be found easily at most outlets in Kuala Lumpur.
Our third noodle was Fried Tang Hoon (glass noodle), another yummy fried noodle that has sucessfully satisfied all the hungry entourage.
We ordered two steamed freshwater carp fish head (Song Yee Tou) the first was done with a spicy gravy, the fish was fresh and fabulous.
The next was coated with finely chopped ginger that was equally yummy and heaven.
A simple stir fried cabbage with small dried shrimps and fine strip of carrot was good enough to please us just like what you get at home.
Fried century egg with fish paste was something unique and awesomely delicious. I simply love it.
One whole piece of braised trotter with "fatt choy" black moss for the coming new year of the Monkey.
I am glad that my friend have enjoyed themselves at Pu Yuan, a place secretly tucked behind Old Klang Road with an entrance no one would think is a place for food. Cheers & Happy cycling we then proceeded to another place for more food & drinks. What a way to end the year of the Rooster.
