Tasteful Cuisine 尝聚轩 at Bandar Menjalara for a Great Hong Kong BBQ

De Foodland Seafood Restaurant was once upon a time at this premise now it ain't crabby any more and it is now a new Chinese restaurant that serves interesting Hong Kong BBQ cuisine.
Steamed free range chicken  juicy and tasty.
Roast suckling pig with crispy & crackling skin it was so lovely to bite and savour this sinful food but it was definitely a delicate cuisine to indulge in.
A clay bowl of slightly oily steamed rice with lard and peanuts making it an absolutely extraordinary rice to eat. It smells good and yummy.
Oily chopped ginger sauce for the steamed chicken.
Go check this new place out!
My next try will be their roast and BBQ meat .... I shall be back.

Delicious Penang Fried Noodle at Bandar Menjarala, Kuala Lumpur

It is quite difficult to find a decently good Penang Char Hor Fun in Klang Valley and there is one now at Bandar Menjalara. Danny is the man and he has been frying at this here for the last 3 months. We simply love his Char Hor Fun. During the night he operates outside the closed coffee shop and he is also available in the day, so go and check it out if you are a truly CHF lovers.
Danny's Char Koay Teow is not that fantastic to me but if eaten with his sambal it is awesome. He only serves this fry during the night because there is already a stall selling CKT in the day time.
Penanag Hokkien Mee is not so popular in Kuala Lumpur but if you are craving for one then try Danny's.
The delicious Char Hor Fun added with egg as my family like it with egg. The entire family members were very satisfied with this new found gem.... & we will definitely be back.
The Penang lobak was also good though I find a bit compact and with lesser spice flavour but my meat lover sons enjoyed it.
If you need to call him to make sure he is there to serve you at Restoran Double One whether it's in the night or day time. So go and enjoy a lovely Penang fried noodles at Bandar Menjalara.

Friday Night Ride through Penchala to Bandar Menjalara

This weekly Friday night ride was organised by My Bicycle Shop starting from Bandar Utama and there is always a carrot for the fellow riders to pedal. The common question always asked is where are we eating later on after the ride.....
This ride was basically going through Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kg. Sg Penchala, Desa Park City and before arriving at Bandar Menjalara. There was a detour to Damansara Perdana to accompanied a last minute rider for the adventure and it was an additional unexpected distance, strenuous but a good one indeed.
I always love to cycle at Kg. Sg. Penchala, the air is fresh and serene, it is away from the hectic traffic of Kuala Lumpur except on that night we met these cows and their aromatic dungs.
One of the many climbs at the kampong we took, it was painful as we struggled to ascend them but it was all worth the while.
At last we reached the Emporer's Palace for an ultimate reward.
Delicious roast duck awaiting to pamper us for the hard work we put in.
All tummies being fully filled up and reluctantly we left the Palace and headed back home.
The path of total darkness at Penchala where we depended on our heade lights, some were bright some were dim and some without we just rolled on and adapt accordingly in the dark.
This was an interesting crossing of a construction site beneath NKVE we were like smugglers taking an illegal crossing.
Finally it's back to the mad world, an awefully good workout on a Friday night. Many of us did not expect the ride to be so tough but everyone was satisfied with the so called punishment.
 Cheers! we shall do more.

Huang Di Noodle Palace - The Emperor's Noodle 皇帝面

Don't be frighten by the word "Emperor" the pricing is very affordable and not forgetting the food is awesome.
Char Siu & Wanton Noodle.
I enjoyed the tasty soup especially after a strenuous workout.

Roast duck is one of the signature dishes in Huang Di Noodle.
After a good ride from Bandar Utama we found our way to Bandar Menjalara for an emperor treat and it was a good recommendation. Thanks!
That's the boss ....the shop closes around 9.30pm.

Pork Noodle @ Medan Putra, Bandar Sri Menjalara

Looking for an interesting pork noodle stall in the area of Kepong, then I would recommend you this place. Some said it's overrated & pricey but if you don't mind it and have not try it before then you should go for it.
My choice of pork noodle with only minced and sliced meat, I was staying away from all the parts like kidney, liver, intestines & blood cubes as age is catching up.....hehehe.
From a humble stall at a coffee shop in Bandar Menjalara which I used to frequent it regularly and this is an old posting of mine of this pork noodle. Now they have entered into another stage of providing a larger scale of pork noodle to the community. Well Done, Madam.

Restoran Lim's Kitchen @ Bandar Menjalara, Kuala Lumpur

I wanted to eat Bak Kut Teh at this yellow sign board shop but it was closed (don't go on Fridays). So I ended up eating at the shop next door @ Lim's Kitchen.
It was either after peak hour or it was rather competitive to run a eating shop at Bandar Menjalara. Quiet isn't it?
I ordered a bowl of fish paste noodle with came with slices of fish cake and added-on 5 lovely fish balls.
Though I did not indulge myself in any sinful meal supposedly to be at next door but I was happy that I ate at Restoran Lim's Kitchen. My lunch was awesome. It was healthy with good bouncing moment with the succulent fish paste noodle & fish balls. I do not mind to come back again.

Penang Curry Mee @ Bandar Menjalara, Kuala Lumpur

To find a good & genuine Penang style curry noodle in Kelang Valley is not easy. So far I found one in Okay Coffee shop" in SS2, one at Lorong Seratus Tahun @ another part of SS2 and now I found another one at Bandar Menjalara, Kuala Lumpur. When I say Penang style it means light & whitish curry soup which comes with pig's blood cube & other ingredients.

It would be lovely if there were mint leaves in it. Anyway the taste was good and delicious.

For a typical Penang Curry Mee it must come with pig's blood cubes, slices of cuttlefish, cockles, prawns, tau pok and a special thick & dark chilli paste normally in the spoon.

Hokkien Mee as they called it in Penang (KLites would call it Prawn Mee) is also available  in this stall.

Nothing really fantastic about this noodle but truly a Penang style prawn noodle and I like it.

Restoran Sai Gong @ Bandar Menjalara - Good Food

There are 2 Sai Gong or Sai Kong in the same neighbourhood, one is in Bandar Menjalara and the other one in Kepong Baru. I was asked to attend a dinner at one of them at Menjalara. The shop was crowded and most importantly the food was very good.

Let say all the dishes were absolutely delicious and worth coming back for more of their food.

It was a good dinner for a good occasion. It was the birthday of Lai Yoong & Wei Xiang. And a HaPpY hApPy Birthday to them.
