Thaipusam Celebration 2017 is Coming

Malaysia is full of festivity, Chinese New Year celebration is still on going and Thaipusam is around the corner. And what more do we ask we shall celebrate these festivals together in the Year of the Rooster.

I had a chance to join a group study visit to Batu Caves to learn more of Thaipusam celebration and its significance.

Club Med Cherating - Day 1 - Annual Family Gathering

Before heading to Club Med Cherating, we decided to have our breakfast at Pan Heong, Batu Caves.

The boys enjoyed their breakfast very much and have no qualm about the food.

We had a smooth drive to Cherating and were too early to check into the resort. We proceeded to Chukai, Kemaman, Terengganu which is not too far away from Club Med for lunch.

Sin Bing Kee was not the shop we wanted to patronise but due to the mad situation at Kemaman we took alternative plan. Fortunately the food was awesome, the place was terribly under staff we waited a long while for our order.

We bumped into my colleagues at a shop few doors away called Tong Juan.

Assam curry fish was super delicious, I like the taste and the many pieces of pineapple found in the curry and the fish was fresh and tender.

Stir fried Kangkong Belacan & super fresh & succulent fried Prawns. 

Stuffed crabs a must order delicacy it is sold in almost all the eating shops along Jalan Sulaiman, Kemaman.

 And this is how it looks on the other side of the crabs and the stuffed ingredients of the stuffed crabs.

Some of the first activities we participated at the resort. 

Dinner time - eat all you can and drinks are free flow.

And lastly a performance at the pool.

Sunday Breakfast @ Restoran Pan Heong (品香吃家小馆) @ Medan Batu Caves

A son accompanied by a dad and a mum on his way for a camp vacation at Batu Caves has decided to have breakfast at Restaurant Pan Heong.

 

It was about couple of minutes passed 9 in the morning, the crowd was slowly growing and by the time we finished our food there were patrons waiting for tables at the five foot way of the shop. What a fantastic business Pan Heong is enjoying.

The porridge is popular here and we opted for fish (haruan) slices & pork ribs porridge (RM12.50). It was ideal for the parent as they were having slight sore throat. 

The above two dishes are superb add-ons for a great meal of porridge, what a perfect cuisine.

Bihun (Rice Vermicelli) fried with canned pork belly (扣肉) (RM16.00) was another popular dish though it was oily but tasty.
