Perkahwinan Puteri Bongsu Zakaria Hussin @ Malaysia Agro Exposition Park

This is one wedding card that is creative and special. The wedding of my neighbour's daughter Nor Azira Zakaria. There are many weddings during this time of the year both Chinese wedding and Malay wedding. I  guess it is the best time to get marry.
Within MARDI itself there were several weddings and to find the place can be challenging, it was kinda of a treasure hunt.
Congratulation to Zakaria Hussin & Puan Noor Aziah Zainudin for this auspicious occasion and also the newly wed couple.

An outstanding couple heading for a new chapter of life.
A garden ceremony for remembrance.
A door gift to bring back with lot of blessing & greetings.
Nice beef rendang, chicken, roast lamb, nasi tomato, mee rebus and lot of sweet & dessert.

Proposed MRT in Klang Valley - Sg Buloh to Kajang

Last night’s traffic situation in Kuala Lumpur was horrendous; we need to improve our traffic system badly especially on a heavy down fall.

This proposal looks good and get it implemented immediately.

The Roads of Kuala Lumpur Need Re-Surfacing Badly & Immediately

Most of the roads in Kuala Lumpur need to re-surface. There are too many pot holes, uneven repair patches, uneven manhole covers, badly faded road lines, missing road lines & directional arrow signs.

We have been paying assessments & summonses to DBKL and yet these roads are not being properly maintained for the road users. It poses DANGER when driving on these roads especially during the night.

Are we just waiting for the General Election to come for all these maintenance works to be executed?
I just hope that DBKL can repair these roads immediately for the safety of the road users and avoid further damages to our car's wheels.

A Rehearsal for the King's Birthday in Malaysia

The King of Malaysia will be celebrating his official birthday this coming Saturday on 5 June 2010.

I was at Dataran Merdeka early this morning for a brief work out and was able to witness a rehearsal by the Armed Force and Air Force of Malaysia.

Certain roads leading to this area were closed temporary for this rehearsal which has caused a certain degree of inconveniences to the nearby office workers. But the people do not mind as the situation was under control.

Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) was formerly known as “Padang”. It was here that the Union Flag was lowered and our Malayan flag hoisted for the first time at the stroke of 12 midnight on 31 August 1957.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong or the King is the head of state of Malaysia. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is elected based on a 5 years rotation system. Our present Yang di-Pertuan Agong is Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin from the State of Terengganu.

Happy Birthday to your Highness.
Daulat Tuanku!

A Bicycle Ride around Taman Setiawangsa, KL

It was a beautiful Sunday under the casuarinas & palm trees with intermittent breeze for a delicious laksa utara.

I took my son’s bike for a ride. Going down to the commercial area of Setiawangsa was easy but cycling back home uphill was tiring.

And this was the delicious Assam Laksa Utara.

Taman Setiawangsa has almost grown to its limit with mature trees everywhere, beautiful landscape and amenities are well kept by the local authority (BN VIP is staying here & that's why).

This would probably be the most distinguish character of Setiawangsa, a scary vertical slope protection where the VIP lives up there……

This is the basketball court where I ended my basketball days. I snapped my ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in 2002 January 19th. That was the saddest moment as far as playing basketball is concerned. I really love this game.

Mahsuri Apartment is the oldest apartment and is an eye sore of Taman Setiawangsa. Mahsuri needs paintwork. It is for sure that the Management Committee of Mahsuri does not have the money. I always believe that I&P Bhd as a concerned developer should help financially to carry out a repaint for this building. It will be good for the image of I&P Bhd and the residents of Setiawangsa. A paint work that is long overdue (since 1987).

These are the commercial buildings of Setiawangsa. I have been staying here for the last 22 years and I like this neighbourhood very much. Things have changed so much since I moved to this place in 1988. I remember there was no Jalan Jelatak (now this road is so popular and heavily used). Access to this place was limited and improper at that time, now it is totally different. We are now enjoying the DUKE highway which made it so convenient to travel.

The name Taman Setiawangsa is becoming known to people of Klang Valley. There is a Setiawangsa LRT station, lot of road signs to Setiawangsa seen at DUKE highway and a constituency under Setiawangsa.
