Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga, Puchong

It was after a Sunday morning leisure ride at Putrajaya, a friend recommended this restaurant for a fish head delicacy and off we went to this place without any difficulty of course with the aid of waze apps. We were early and the first customers of the day. The front of the shop has a big aquarium with a variety of live fishes to choose.
Curry fish head is one of the two signature dishes in this shop served under a burner and its taste was awesome, the curry flavour is strong and creamy. I love it.
Next came the deep fried cubes of Tofu, nothing great just a typical tofu dish.
Stir fried Tau Mui (sweet pea sprouts) with shimeji mushrooms was interesting and delicious. I enjoyed the bite of the texture of the mushrooms together with the tau miu.
Steamed salted kampong chicken was good too, the gravy was tempting, tasty but rather salty hence not too much of this soup.
A big stainless steel wok on a portable burner with a big black tilapia fish and lala clams, topped with chopped garlic and spring onions. The taste was superb and an empty small bowl provided for you to enjoy the soup. This signature dish is selling well, you can opt to add on squid and prawns in it.
Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga has three more shop lots annexed to it and you can imagine how good is their business. A place highly recommended if you love to eat fish. It is located somewhere near Hero Supermarket slightly off the old Puchong road. Have a good food hunt.
And lastly a complimentary soothing jelly.

Restoran Yau Choy at Jalan Puchong, Taman Kinrara

It was a Wednesday evening we were on our usual weekly ride exploring places in Klang Valley. Originally we wanted to try out the famous curry fish head near the Giant (formerly Bintang Supermarket) but unfortunately it was closed. Our local buddy Soo was quick and suggested an alternative eatery which was nearby and that was how I came across Yau Choy Restaurant. It is located at the old Puchong Road (7 1/2 Miles).
Poached kampong chicken was yummy which was served chopped ginger sauce. Everyone was super happy with the first dish.
Then came a plate of stir fried celery with roasted pork. I like it the taste was was just perfect and went well with my plain rice.
Lam Yee deep fried pork belly seems to be a popular dish at Yau Choy Restaurant but I think there are better ones in town.
Tofu fried with fresh prawns was gorgeous and it was empty pretty fast.
The next was a seafood cuisine and it was a fried squid, nothing fantastic but palatable.
Stir fried kangkong passed the mark, it was good and prefect.
This steamed tilapia was the grand finale it was delicious and the best among the dishes. The meat was tender, well prepared by the cook and everyone simply love it.
This dessert was a great dessert it was served warm and not too sweet. That's a great way to end our lovely dinner at Jalan Puchong.
That was it, a satisfying meal which was rather sumptuous and it was surely worth the while to cycle 18km for the food. We took a different route back and enjoyed visiting the old town of Petaling Jaya.

Restoran Anwar Roda Baru @ Bandar Bukit Puchong for Kelantanese Food

I was driving back from Cyberjaya and out of nowhere a friend overtook me & signaled me for lunch. Alright as I was also thinking of lunch and followed them to this place. Restoran Anwar Roda Baru @ Bandar Bukit Puchong.
Judging from the crowd this place is popular, people working in as far as Putrajaya and Cyberjaya would drive all the way to Anwar's place. The spread of foods is reasonably good.
Ulam as good & healthy as usual.
Squids with long beans simple and yummy.
Balitong in curry - eating this can improve your kissing techniques.

The sayur-sayur we took for our meal spicy hot but wonderful.

Fried kampong chicken was delicious. This has to be their signature dish. I noticed there is another version but with rempah.
Deep fried Ikan Keli (cat fish) with sambal belacan was fabulous.
Thanks to CKK for introducing this hidden place that serves good Kelantanese home cooked food and will definitely drop by again if I am around this area. Bagus bagus.....
