Nasi Melayu Lidiana at Tanjung Bungah, Penang

Nasi Melayu Lidiana is also known as Nasi Melayu Masjid Terapung it is located at Medan Selera Tanjung Bungah and it is opposite Penang floating Mosque (Masjid Terapung Tanjung Bungah).

We were told to visit the place earlier in order to enjoy the food spread and for a shorter queue. The best time to visit would be before 12 noon.
The spread of dishes is wide and most importantly these dishes are delicious ranging from ulam, kerabu to popular fish dishes like deep fried ikan terubuk, ikan cencaru sumbat sambal, sotong and prawns. The sambal and kuah (curry gravy are equally awesome) and all in all a truly Malay food in the island of Penang especially if you are already bored with all nasi kandar visits in the island.
My choice of the day with plentiful of veggies, a piece of pomfret fish and a sizeable prawn for RM13.50. The pricing is reasonable and the taste was fabulous. I must say it is a must try food adventure in Penang.
None of us have any negative comment of this lunch except praises of good food and a ride that was worth the while to venture, by the way I had a second helping ... hehehe.
The food was so delicious that I could not resist myself for a second round.....it's so yummy.

After a satisfying meal of a lovely feast of Nasi Melayu we continued to ride back to Georgetown with a happy face. We shall be back.

Ma' Cik Nasi Biryani @ Curve

Of late I have been going regularly to The Curve and during one of my visits I came upon accidentally to this shop with a sudden crave for some oily rice.
The rice was served with a hot pot and at the base of the rice it was slightly burnt and crusted just like those found in Chinese Clay pot rice.
I opted for egg biryani and for once I am avoiding meat. There were two eggs in it. I enjoyed the bryani and also loved the prickles too.

Hard Wood Kafe @ Seremban 2 for a Delicious Malay Food

This place is surely secluded, a local friend took me here and I like it very much. Hard Wood Kafe @ Seremban 2 and a must go place for a good Malay food.

Looks like a resort and obviously very attractive both outside and the inside.
The interior decor of Hard Wood Kafe with a good lunch crowd.
Red Assam Pedas so enticing with Jenahak fish ... I want more it's so tasty.
Deep fried kampong chicken with sweet dark soya sauce & lime.
I love my ikan keli deep fried & crispy...super duper yummy and not forgetting the ulam & sambal belacan. Truly heaven.
