Air Itam Market Laksa found in Klang

It was a long way from my house to this place but it's worth driving all the way to Bukit Tinggi Klang and an interesting place to try authentic Penang Street foods at Angcle Peoh.
The shop has a good story on the wall as how the Ang family started selling Assam Laksa. Air Itam Market is the origin and the laksa is well known all over place.
Ang Kok Peoh or known as Angcle Peoh left Penang Island about a year plus to start a new venture in Klang Valley together with her daughter Kar Bee. Here they are joining force for a head start for Angcle Peoh.  If you remember there was once a nice Laksa Assam found in Asia Cafe which were actually operated by Kar Bee & her hubby. Apparently the one in Genting Cafe, Island Glades (Penang) is also run by the Ang family.
Char Koay Teow fried with duck egg that always has a stronger flavour is simply Jo's favourite.
Penang Hokkien Char that went well with the sambal belacan, I guess not many people would know how to appreciate it especially those not from Penang, a taste that requires an acquisition before you really like it.
Penang Hokkien Mee or better known in Klang Valley as Prawn Mee is a must in the list as far as Penang Street Foods is concernened.
Pork Noodle with delicious clear soup for those in the mood for a plain meal, it's not spicy hot and the well prepared soup is gorgeous.
I enjoyed this Assam Laksa it's rich, strong flavour, tasted delicious and lovely assam aroma. Do try this marvel if you are an assam laksa lover.
The curry isn't as white like the one in Penang it is more of a Klang Valley curry mee, the curry looks thick and I hope I will be back to savour it soon, meanwhile you tell me.
Cendol with red beans other than ABC Ice kacang and also a variety of drinks available to please you.

Fabulous Breakfast at Restoran Megah Good Luck @ Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya

One fine Saturday morning we took daddy for a Kopi "O" kaw and I suggested to Jo we go for a roast pork noodle at Taman Megah. It has been a while since I last visited Restoran Megah Good Luck for this delicious kon loh noodle and I always like going to this place except the car parking.
Another good discovery of a Penang Hokkien Mee by us. I went over to Chef Li's stall and uttered the magic word "Hokkien Mee" in Penang slang he responded with the same lingo.... mostly importantly his prawn mee is good and has passed the mark for one nice Penang Prawn Noodle in Klang Valley.
What a wonderful surprise meeting. Both of these men have actually met during the days at Paramount Garden many years back and both were still able to recognise each other. It was nice to know this Andrew and we will bring my father in law to see him again at Megah Good Luck Kopitiam while we can try the Jawa Mee and Char Koay Teow. Cheers.

One of the Good Prawn Mee (Penang Hokkien Mee) in Kuala Lumpur 顺利虾面

Soon Lee Prawn Mee, the all time favourite prawn mee at Jalan Ipoh is being rated as one of the top ten in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. It is located at the end of Ipoh Road near "The Store" departmental store. Those photos at the show case above are those of film stars from Hong Kong and that is how popular the word of this delicious prawn mee has spread.
I like the taste it's awesome Soon Lee is generous with its ingredients and as far as closeness to Penang Hokkien mee it has one but not like some as listed in the top ten best prawn mee in KL & PJ. The only fall back here is that it's not available for breakfast.
Soon Lee's Char Koay Teow isn't too bad as well, it is a good alternate choice if you are not in the mood for a prawn noodle.
The ABC (Ais Batu Campur) sold at the stall next to Soon Lee is also good.
I brought my family here to savour the food and they agreed with me that the noodle is delicious and would want to come back again for this marvellous Penang noodle.
