Meng Kee Char Siew Glenmarie Shah Alam

Beside the popular char siew, you can get poached chicken or fried chicken.
The famous Char Siew BBQ pork belly that is sweet, sticky and delicious. One must not miss if you are in this shop. Well done for it's good quality and and maintaining over the years.
Crunchy bean sprouts to go with the meal.
At this time of hard economy this bill would probably be a bit heavy but considering it as a once in a blue moon affair then it's worth the while.
The place is ever crowded with mouths seeking for delicious food. The first time I tried this Meng Kee Char Siew was at a different shop back in 2008 but it was still on the same road. They surely have expanded in a big way in Glenmarie.

Revisit to Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam

This is my fourth time visiting Taman Botani Negara also known as Taman Cerakah or Taman Cahaya. My first time I went with my sons together with a friend's family in April 2012, our kids were so young then. Subsequently in July 2012 Dave Ern had a big group visiting the park. And the last visit was on December 2012. Malaysia has vast potential for tourism as usual we need to buckle up on our maintenance things seem to be deteriorating over time and it is a waste of money and opportunity.
This recent visit I took my wife for a morning ride it was a public holiday and it was her first time. I was glad she enjoyed it though she was had a bit of hard time with some climbs. She got to practice more in order to couple with tougher rides. We enjoyed the visit such as the paddy fields. Well done Taman Botani Negara for the perseverance,  continue to improve and revive the property.
It was a good work out we covered as many places as possible and it was so refreshing with the clean fresh air, the breeze of the coming new lunar year, sound of birds and animals in a forest environment that is so near to the city.
We will back for more rides in this park. Bear with me for about 5 minutes to watch this clip of this recent visit and I hope you will like it.

MC Curry Mee @ Glenmarie, Shah Alam

A popular Curry Mee at Glenmarie, Shah Alam with an "ang mo" operator by the name of Mcculloch specially for you to eat. Actually not 100% angmo, the story is that the Grandfather was a Scottish married a local Chinese and somehow along the way we have him to serve us good Malaysian Curry mee...
The curry gravy was thick topped with Taupok & poached chicken meat. The taste was good and tasty. If you have not eaten this before then you should give it a try.
It was after a cycling event at Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam and a friend suggested to have lunch at MC Curry Noodles and it was an awesome lunch indeed.

A Ride in an Agricultural Park @ Shah Alam

Another round of ride at Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam where we have covered approximately only18km but was exhausted by a few tough climbs in the park.
The last time I visited this agricultural park I did not complete to climb Jalan Bersih but this time I made it and was very happy about it.
The morning was beautiful, the weather was excellent and our fellow cyclists slowly turning up for the event at a car park right in front of the entrance.

Everyone was ready, we proceeded to buy the entry tickets. Take note of the special fare for senior citizen.

The freshness of the air coupled with the lovely atmosphere has warranted us a perfect day for cycling.

Some of the tropical scenes of the park.

We were at a rambutan compound happily plucking and eating rambutan. It was surely a great fun and there was no one to chase us away hehehe, guess it was alright to do that.
Teacher Chin's pedal went kaput, he just continued cycling with it all day through and managed to complete the ride, well done SC.
Going up a cactus climb for a photo session.

Here you could learn about the rain forest of Malaysia while you indulge into some fun adventures like this at the park.
The fishing pond was closed due to flooding, water level was still high.
The end of Jalan Bersih where we completed a tough elevation.
Flood! flood! can we get across this area? ..... surely we can.

Kids love to play with water so do we.
For the first time I am cycling without shoes....flood mah....
One of the the dams at the Agricultural park.
At the top of a man made waterfall coming down from the dam.
Time to pack & leave the park.

As usual we would go for our food before we bade good bye and this time we visited MC Curry Noodles at Glenmarie, an interesting noodle house with a Scottish story . The curry mee is delicious and worth a million to check out this place.

Bike X Series 17 Nov 2012 @ i-City Shah Alam

The route of Bike X Series as mapped up using mapmyride mobile application.
I woke up in the morning wondering where can I ride on this Sunday and I found out that there was a ride called Bike X Series at Shah Alam. The ride supposed to start at 7.30am and I still got time to get there....as a ghost rider.
The crowd would be in a range between 150 - 200 riders, pretty big a group and it looks fun.
Riders with all kind of bicycles RB, MTB and folding bikes and it was so colourful.
Everyone was waiting for the green light to commence the race....or rather not a race but more of a fun ride.
My fellow riding friends with their sophisticated bicycles. I like their bikes.
A quiet Sunday atmosphere of Klang has been disturbed by this event and a bit of traffic inconvenient to some road users as there were certain priority given to the cyclists....have mata mata mah.
A group of foldies for a professional photo shooting.
A rescue to a lady rider with a snapped chain...truly a powerful lady rider indeed.
Last pit stop before we complete the event.
Some went looking for some nice Malay food at a nearby warung and some gathered at the base for food & lucky draws.
My friend here has already taken the food and I like their Tomyam beehoon goreng and it was awesomely good.
I am glad that I make it to this event though I did not register myself for it but I enjoyed being one ghost ride. Terima kasih....see you again fellow riders.  Sometime it's nice to be ghost rider.
