Sathiyanery Vegetarian Food Centre, Brickfields Kuala Lumpur

Thanks to Jeffery for bringing me here for lunch, he told me to just sit down and food will be served. All the patrons eat the same standard combination of food. Seating is just a mere bench shared by everyone. That's interesting indeed.
A plate of rice with a few types of vegetarian dishes, a bowl of dahl, a bowl of dessert and a glass of cold water. All for a fixed price of RM6.00 per plate. I had a good time my appetitie was good and the food was delicious, nothing was left from my share. Thumb up for Sathiyanery.
The stall is clean with many poster of different beliefs, Picture of Mahatma Gandhi, Signages with different languages and I truly love Malaysia. So many kind of different food to savour and so colourful.
It was packed and there were patrons waiting to be seated so eat reasonably quick and let others have a chance to eat.
It was busy working at the severy counter cum cashier and all system looking well in place and food were served fast. Cheers I shall be back.

A Dinner at Restoran Ba Xian Vegetarian Court 八仙报喜素食阁

I have been to this building many times for Ah Mui's lunches but never have I tried Ba Xian's food. It is located at Persiaran Mergatua, Kepong Baru.
I like this curry fish, spicy, yummy and I could see the fish meat in the curry..... now I am drooling.
This is what I call an authentic green dish... my favourite sambal petai so is Larry's.
Kangkung belacan among the many great dishes on the table for us to savour.
As a soup lover, I can say this seaweed soup was excellent ....more please.
Curry mutton with potato which turned out to be so delicious and I like its closeness to meat texture. So nice to chew and no fear of cholesterol. Happy eating.
Fried Beehon was so good that another plate was requested. Some had brown rice with all these lovely non meat dishes.
Crispy yam basket with kung pao veggie ingredients was not only nice in the presentation but it was equally nice in its taste.
A plate of gorgeous deep fried mushroom, how nice if I could have a glass of beer to go with it. And how come they do not serve beer in such restaurant.
This is one of the best vegetarian "Char Siew" I have ever tasted ... it smelled good and what a delicious fake Char Siew.
A group of cycling buddies taking care of a truly vegetarian friend from Penang and he loves the food at Ba Xian.
Another good place for a good vegetarian meal.

Shakahari Vegetarian Restaurant at SS2 Petaling Jaya 素鄕素食小廚

It's a rare occasion for us to visit a vegetarian restaurant basically I just cannot buy the the idea of eating fake meat, I do not mind the green veggies but not the so called "duck chicken, fish, pork and so on" .... and the so called "meats" are mostly oily especially when they are fried. Anyway I had a reason to visit Shakahari this time and I was surprised to see the shop so pack, it was a Saturday evening fortunately we managed to secure a table.
Sambal belacan Paku veggie was lovely with a nice belacan aroma that made me hungry instantly.
The fried abalone mushrooms were dry and hard, it was not so appealing.
Fancy a taste of a sweet black vinegar pork trotter, well this is a vegetarian version taste it looks like one but nothing like the real one... frankly speaking it does taste rather good moreover it's healthier than the real stuff....Like it.
I like the most was this Chinese wine soup (Eight Treasure Herbal Soup) made of mushroom and fungus, the strong wine taste and smell were gorgeous.
I was a bit disappointed with these mini size of the lady fingers..... probably the kitchen has ran out of the bigger ones .... mmmmm.
Indian Curry was rather good and tasty. It has the oomph and drive for more rice.... thumb up for this one.
Fried Dumpling served with thin slices of ginger in vinegar. Slightly oily but yummy.
This tofu did not impress me at all ... maybe some other flavour might give a better kick.
Shakahari Vegetarian Restaurant is a popular outlet at the glutton rows of SS2/10 & 6 and it has been in the area for at least three quarter year. Cheers to Shakahari and hopefully we will be back soon.
