Restoran Loong Kee Bak Kut Teh 龍記瓦煲肉骨茶

Loong Kee previously operates at Jalan Welfare, Sungai Buloh New Village, now he has moved to a new place with a new business dimension. I am sure his regular customers would continue to patronise his food. All the best to Loong Kee Bak Kut Teh.
This is a typical KL Bak Kut Teh with a good typical good taste. The soup is not too plain nor too thick like coffee and yet the taste and aroma is strong enough and satisfying.
To me this industrial park where the shop is located is more "Kota Damansara" than "Sungai Buloh" as it's closer to Kota Damansara. Sungai Buloh Industrial Park has been a favourite eating paradise with several makan outlets specially for breakfast & lunch. If you are looking for food to eat in this area then this Bak Kut Teh might be a good choice.

Restoran Seafood Huaw Kee @ Sg. Buloh Village

Sg. Buloh New Village is changing rapidly with its many industrial activities and it is infested with many foreign workers.I reckon in no time it will become a "foreign" village. The market place of this village in the evening is a testimony of this statement. Restoran Seafood Huaw Kee is located in this vicinity and also a few doors from Jeff's Kitchen.
The interior view of the restaurant which has been air conditioned lately.
Two details of the night while we were waiting for our dishes.

This curry chicken came in a big bun, the bread was soft and it went very well with the curry. I like this dish and would to recommend it to you.
Fried "San Cheong" was superb despite the fact that it is extremely sinful in terms of cholesterol.
This dish has a combination of prawns & roasted pork and it was another great dish to savour.
Fish porridge was good and nothing really to emphasize because it don't really excite your taste buds.
Braised baby sharks.
Fish maws with enoki mushrooms.
Marmite Pork ribs was delicious and succulent, my boys love it very much.
It was also a night we celebrated Xiang Yi's birthday.
A relative bought this oval shaped moon cake from Johor something different and it was yummy.

Restoran Tai Soon Curry House - Sg Buloh New Village

Restoran Tai Soon Curry House is new to me and their specialties are curry fish head, free range chicken and roast goose. Located in isolation but worth the while to try this hideout.
In this Chinese village at Sg. Buloh everything is moving fast, eating places are sprouting evertwhere besides seeing many new factories and redevelopment here.
Soy sauce Pork belly with sinful succulent fat .....
Fried dumpling (Man Tou) for the soy sauce pork belly.
Paku vegetable stir fried with belacan (prawn paste).
The fried rice was perfectly fried not oily and the rice was grainy with generous amount of ingredients.
Stir fried fish head - great taste with the right saltiness and it went well with our rice.
Next time I want to try these roast ducks or maybe roast goose (pre-order required) and also the curry fish head as seen at the shop's sign board.

A Day for a Birthday Golf with Leong Kam Fai & Foong Kea Mun

This is our mid score folks if you bother to know.
A beautiful day with a perfect weather at Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia.

An excellent day for 2 birthday boys.

Birthday Boy No.1 Leong Kam Fai golfer cum Grandapa.
another granddaddy, Siew Wah on the fairway.

Kam Fai had a good round of golf.

Birthday Boy No.2 Foong Kea Mun aka Old Man Foong also a grandfather.

Old Man Foong gives me 8 strokes, that is how good he is and a serious golfer.

The birthday boys gave us a sumptuous treat at Jeff Lee Kitchen @ Sg. Buloh New Village. This place is always packed with people especially during the weekends.
Wan Tan Spinach - I tell you it's so good leh...
Steamed "Sek Pan" fish head another great dish it was fresh and well steamed.
The signature noodle of Jeff Lee. Recommended for first timer.
Lala clams soup. Thought the clams were small but tasty.
Mongolian pork ribs.
Actually this was the first dish, cold paku veggie salad..... extremely delicious ... crunchy and not sappy . I like it very much.
German Knuckle with crispy skin and the meat & tendon were very enticing.
Chee Chap Chok - a popular Porridge at Jeff Lee Kitchen
a happy meal for a happy birthday occassion
Now comes the complicated dish, got to wear disposal glove.
You are supposed to eat like those people during Robin Hood's time, just rip the chicken and bite the meat.
Golden and shining skin and the chicken meat is gorgeous.
Some people just love this part...... We had a good time at Jeff Lee Kitchen. The food is good and no wonder people just do not mind to wait for their food.

Pun Choy @ Jeff Lee's Kitchen, Sungai Buloh

Fresh strawberries as appetizer from Cameron Highlands. Thanks to Evelyn.

Various sauces for a meal of Pun Choy.

A long wait for our Pun Choy, any further delay would create revolution here.....

At last the long awaited Pun Choy came and the hungry patrons just couldn't wait to lay their hands on the food. Just cannot blame us it was 9:22pm and too late for a dinner.

It was a good experience of Pun Choy for many of us. There were many meats found in this clay pot. During the Song Dynasty wooden wash basins were used instead of clay pots. And it was during the war with the Mongols somewhere in Hong Kong where containers were scarce and had to be placed in a single wooden wash basin. The best available meat stuffs were collected and cooked by the people for the Emperor and his army.

Paku Choy salad was fantastic crunchy & tasty.

Jeff's porridge is the best especially the mixed pork porridge.

Bitter gourd stir fried with salted was enticing but sinful.

Jeff Lee’s signature noodle with minced meat

HaPpY hApPy dining though it was a long wait..........
