Ilham Spicy Nasi Kukus with Herbal Fried Chicken @ Mutiara Damansara

There was one evening where 8 cyclists rode around in the vicinity of Bukit Kiara and ended up themselves at Mutiara Damansara.
We found a secluded corner at Mutiara Damansara for food and we love it.
The steamed rice is known locally as "Nasi Kukus" hot from the steamer and ready to be served.
This is a self service shop and Step 1 - Take Your Meal Here.
Step 3 - Pay Here....go check this place out.
Take the food not me.
It must be popular with several write-ups of this Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Herba.
Curry gravy of several kinds flooding the entire cup of steamed rice with anchovies, pineapple & sambal belacan. Of course, the herbal fried chicken was the highlight of it. Truly yummy and spicy.....sweat as you eat for some who can't stand spicy food but we simply love it.
We named our ride as "Wednesday 1106 Kukus Ride" and we shall be back.

Ma' Cik Nasi Biryani @ Curve

Of late I have been going regularly to The Curve and during one of my visits I came upon accidentally to this shop with a sudden crave for some oily rice.
The rice was served with a hot pot and at the base of the rice it was slightly burnt and crusted just like those found in Chinese Clay pot rice.
I opted for egg biryani and for once I am avoiding meat. There were two eggs in it. I enjoyed the bryani and also loved the prickles too.

Nyonya corner @ Nyonya Colors @ The Curve

Yellow Thai Laksa - Beehoon, radish & chicken
Thai Fried Meehoon simple yet delicious.
Radish Cake - Lo Pak Ko
Fruit rojak - the sauce is too dilute
Cendol - the coconut milk was a disappointment and does not look and taste like a real santan milk.
I do not know of their kueh-kueh and snack, possibily they are good but tthe cendo and fruit rojak were disappointment, the santan for the cendol was watery and the gravy for the rojak was too watery. The rest of the food we took were okay.

Little Penang Kafe @ The Curve, Damansara Mutiara, PJ

The old classical furniture we used to sit and drink our 7-Up with salt & ice or drink our Ovaltine / Milo with cup & saucer with our parent. Yes that was when we were very young enjoying at many coffee shops irrespectively in the city, big or small towns. We could see such classical furniture at any typical Kopi Tiam during those days. That was in the 60’s where I could see such furniture. Recently I saw this one at the Curve, Damansara Mutiara @ Little Penang Kafe’s outlet. Isn’t it a unique design….

CKT – Char Koay Teow or Penang Fried Koay Teow is a popular choice at Little Penang Kafe. It was good but could be better if they were to include the sinful lard into it. Sorry the food here is halal. No lard here.

A yummy ABC (Ais Batu Champur) aka Ice Kacang which complete a truly Penang treat for a quick meal.
