Food of a Court Food @ Haikou City, Hainan China

We could not continue with our 3rd round of golf at Hainan West Course International Golf Club, so we left for the city (free & easy mode) looking for lunch.

We ended up at this food court at a shopping mall.
These were the colour of the food we sampled.

Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhongqiu Jie 中秋節) Celebration

A dinner was set to mark the celebration of The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, or in Chinese, Zhongqiu Jie 中秋節. Sometimes it’s known as Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival. We celebrated at Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant, Paramount Garden.
A restaurant well known for their roast duck, really good and delicious.

And they are also popular for their pumpkin seafood.

We also took the occasion to celebrate Xiang Yi’s birthday at SS2 (FIL’s house). A simple cake from Bread’s Story.

Mahjong game as part of the Mid-Autum Festival.

Happy Birthday Xiang Yi.

One for the Album.

Sad Moment @ West Course International Golf Club, Haikou City

Typhoon Ketsana has spoilt our plan of playing in West Course International Golf Club, a golf course of world standard. How can we miss it. We could only play three and the half holes and has to abandon the game.

Let’s load the golf bags and get started with the game, as the weather did not seem to look good.

I was fascinated by this helmet worn by the caddy, such a cute helmet.

And a raincoat for the golf bag..

The wind was stronger than the day before and was surely a wet affair for golf.

This one picture for remembrance even though we did not complete the 18 holes, what a waste.

A cultural show was performed with traditional Xinjiang 新疆 ethnic dance and others. My friend Pee Kiat was asked to join the dancing group at the stage, we wondered why he was picked for the dance probably because of his Malay look.

A Xinjiang cap was presented to him for his sporting participation.
Photography is not encouraged, I was repeatedly reminded to stop snapping
