Delicious Pork Noodle @ Pomander Subang Jaya SS15

This is my first time here and I was told to wait 40 minutes for my pork noodle. Business is so good one lah...I can see many patient customers waiting for this 'magical' treat.
Pomander is a clean place to eat (semi air-con) .
Restoran Pomander No. 78, Jalan SS15/4B, Subang Jaya.
Well, I really waited for 40mins even though it was near finishing lunch hour. This bowl of pork noodle reached me at 2.20pm. I guess the pork mee seller really take meticulous preparation of his creation, every single bowl of noodle is individually cooked.
I would give a rating of 8/10 for this pork noodle. I like the soup and the fresh minced meat.

and ....... the busy stall.

Tai Chow @ New Grand View, Taman S.E.A.

Another restaurant with the name Grand View but this one with the word "new", New Grand View in Taman S.E.A. the previous one was at Bukit Tinggi Village, Pahang.
It was the eve of Hari Raya Puasa, we visited my FIL in SS2 and went for dinner at New Grand View Restaurant, Taman S.E.A.

Japanese Snails fried with chilli padi, onions, and small dry shrimps was Jo’s pick of the night. It was fabulous and juicy.

Steamed Garoupa fish with soya sauce was yummy.

Har Cheong Pork Ribs was again my boys’ favourite, Zu Yi was in the mood for more Pai Kut after finishing it. Sorry son, enough of Pai Kut for the night. He gave a rating of 9/10 for these juicy pork ribs.

Fried chicken looks better than Har Cheong PaiKut, but the rating does not look as good, it was only 5/10 from the meat eaters.

Stir fried lettuce.

I ordered an additional dish, last one to make sure Xiang Yi got no complaint of not being full after this dinner. A mere plate of fried beehoon with 2 crabs has accomplished the work. It was delicious. I tell you my growing Xiang Yi can really eat, I hope he watches his diet. In Melbourne, parent could be jailed for causing their children to be obese. Fortunately that for parents in Melbourne not in Malaysia if not see me in prison…..

Yu Yee Porridge @ Segambut Dalam

A morning here at Segambut for a meal of hot and plain rice porridge just like the coolies used to eat during the olden days at the road side near their work place. They would be squatting on a bench in front of the porridge stall enjoying their meals.
And I am enjoying the same type of porridge found in Yu Yee restaurant @ Segambut Dalam. Today, this meal costs me RM7.00 probably during the olden days it would be only 7 cents.

1 bowl plain porridge + pig intestines + soya sauce meat = RM7.00

The chewy pig intestine goes very well with the plain and hot porridge.

O & S Breakfast @ Paramount Garden, P.J.

If you are thinking of a good Penang Chee Cheong Fun in Klang Valley then the best place to visit is O&S Restaurant located at Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya. It is always pack like sardine if you are there for a weekend breakfast or lunch. The business is too good and most of the foods are delicious. I bet you will not eat at ease in this coffee shop, you are expected to finish your food as fast as possible and get lose. There will be thick skin people standing and waiting next to you to make sure you leave as soon as you finish. No chance to chat chat and talk cock, okay….

Penang Chee Cheong Fun is different from KL type or Hong Kong type. Penang Chee Cheong Fun is of sweet flavour served with prawn paste (Har Koh), chilli and sweet gravy. Simple yet delicious. The noodle is smooth, broad and tasty when touches your mouth.
My FIL Teoh Ah Geok enjoying his Chee Cheong Fun.

The Prawn Mee with stewed pork rib is just so so only, I prefer the one in Tun Dr Ismail. FYI, this bowl with additional ribs is RM7.00 per bowl.

The Chee Cheong Fun provider.

And the many other stalls, everyone is busy inside here.

Grand View Restaurant @ Bukit Tinggi Village

Time to leave Genting Highland, we enjoyed the nice weather at the highland fresh and cooling… And it was time to head for Bukit Tinggi Village for a decent meal. The casino group has enough of the casino, they have contributed enough for the development fund. The excellent infrastructure of Genting Highland is all contributed by these casino visitors.

Almost all the eating shops at Bukit Tinggi were enjoying brisk business on this 2nd Day of Hari Raya. We were at this shop Restoran Grand View.

A wok of Tofu with lot of other ingredients, very tasty after the dish has warmed up by the small wax flame.

Stir fried watercress - simple but delicious.

Braised Pork Belly with groundnuts, too much of pork fat.

A 1.3kg “Patin” fish steamed with plain soya sauce RM85.00

The damage was RM145.00 for these foods.

Hainan Kitchen @ Genting Highland

It was the second day of Hari Raya Puasa, we were on a day trip to Genting Highland. There were quite a lot of cars traveling at Karak Highway and we reached Genting Highland about 10am. It was a place with too many visitors… a day spent with lots of queuing and waiting….
We broke our Group into 2 groups. One went for the casino and the other for the In Door Theme Park.

It was time for lunch and Hainan Kitchen got a deal with us (4pax).
Zu Yi had the most costly dish RM20.00 – Pork Escalope (grilled pork chop with black pepper)
My half boiled eggs RM3.20

Xiang Yi chose Keng Chew Fried Rice RM13.50
Jo chose Chucky Pork RM16.50

A sambal fried fish as common dish RM15.00

The damage for four people at Hainan Kitchen….
