Tsun Jin High School - Extension

We are undertaking to construct and complete 1 block of Multi Purpose Hall, 1 Block of Lecture Theatre with 1 and 2 levels of basement car parking.

We took over the site on 1 June 2008 to commence the work and expected to complete by 31 May 2009.

Tsun Jin High School has a long history in Kuala Lumpur and it is an independent Chinese school but the power and support from the Chinese community is great. The school is forever expanding. No more green field but concrete structure coming up for more space for the school.

Another Public Rail Transport Adventure in KL

There are 4 types of mass rail transportation in Klang Valley which are STAR LRT, PUTRA LRT, KL Mono Rail & KTM Kommuter.
Off the 4 types, KL Mono Rail is a joke, just like a theme park train merely for joy rides. That is exactly what KL Mono Rail is, a train with 2 miserable short coaches and expecting to cater thousands of commuters in the city.
My experience this morning can vouch this joke.
A ticket counter with missing attendant, got to shout it out a while before he appears.
A clock showing 2 something when the time was actually 9.30am, mind you, this clock was still clocking and alive but showing other time zone in other part of the world.

And these people is unable to board as it was sardine packed and has to wait the next round…..
I guess this theme park train is better than none, and the people of Kuala Lumpur has to live with it.
Hello Malaysia, wake up!!!
At least the Putra LRT is better and has longer or more coaches for the commuters.

Tan Lang Fong - After 33 years

The power of networking and of course, via internet and old friends we were able to meet up with Lang Fong after we left Sultan Badlishah School, Kulim sometimes in the 70's. It was nice to meet up old friends after such a long long time. Lang Fong is now based in Taipeh, Taiwan.
I hope we can have more of such meetings.

The time is 6.35am and these school kids must have a hectic Sunday break and sleep was not enough. That was how tired they were…….

Bukit Kiara Hike instead of Fuel Hike

I was happy that I managed to persuade my two sons and wife to take this hike.

Our route was from Royal Selangor Club Kiara Branch via Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club private road into Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and up we went the hill.

Zuyi was trying his luck for soya bean drinks but unfortunately none of us got any dough for it…. I tried coercing the soya bean drinks seller for a deal of drink first pay the next time but to no avail….. ha ha ha ha.....

Siu Siu Restaurant

This restaurant is neatly tucked in a green corner between the Federal Highway and the Sungai Besi Chinese Cemetery. Just about 300m off the Federal Highway from the Kuen Cheng School exit into Seputeh area.
Their specialties are the claypot rice with crab or with beehoon noodle.
Siu Siu has another branch at the old Sungai Besi Airport (somewhere at the end of the runway)…

We started off with a bowl of black fungus soup.

Char Kuay Teow - Lorong Selamat, Penang

RM8.00 a plate of Char Kuay Teow found in Lorong Selamat, Penang, fried by the one and only super fierce lady. From operating in a stall at a nearby coffee shop, she has now has her own coffee shop to serve her patrons. A must if you come to Penang for food.
