Hyderabad Biryani House, Brickfields Kuala Lumpur

Another great place to eat biryani rice and this is the Hyderabad Biryani House found in Brickfields. Thank to Chew for recommending this gem to us. Please do check this place out before they shift to other premises though they have a branch in Shah Alam and another coming up in Sentul.
I was initially skeptical of the place when we first arrived as there were no customer in shop and the atmosphere did not impress at all. But actually they were just about to start the lunch session and true enough the crowd slowly came in to pack up the place.
Chew had his hands on papadum first while we were waiting for our Biryani rice to be served.
The pot of biryani rice is big and colourful filled with loose and long grainy rice to maximum. The guy handling the service ask us whether we want it normal and spicy. It seems that if you request spicy he will dig at the lowest layer of darker red in colour. You could sense warm and wonderful aroma of Biryani rice when standing close to the pot.
A plate of Biryani rice with a choice of chicken meat hidden underneath priced at RM12.00 and the portion of rice is really big probably for 2 persons if they are small eaters. Besides chicken meat they serve mutton on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Exposing the perfectly cooked chicken for the camera before we start digging into this delicious dish.
The minute we got our food the crowd intensified and fortunately we were early.
Brinjal is a favourite among its variety and it surely tasted delicious.
Other dishes of veggie like cauliflower and fried bitter gourds are also seen at the servery counter.
Fried chicken meat dry and without any gravy.
Choices of other chicken meat in different flavour and taste.
Have a great experience at Hyderabad Birayani House if you have not try it before.

Sathiyanery Vegetarian Food Centre, Brickfields Kuala Lumpur

Thanks to Jeffery for bringing me here for lunch, he told me to just sit down and food will be served. All the patrons eat the same standard combination of food. Seating is just a mere bench shared by everyone. That's interesting indeed.
A plate of rice with a few types of vegetarian dishes, a bowl of dahl, a bowl of dessert and a glass of cold water. All for a fixed price of RM6.00 per plate. I had a good time my appetitie was good and the food was delicious, nothing was left from my share. Thumb up for Sathiyanery.
The stall is clean with many poster of different beliefs, Picture of Mahatma Gandhi, Signages with different languages and I truly love Malaysia. So many kind of different food to savour and so colourful.
It was packed and there were patrons waiting to be seated so eat reasonably quick and let others have a chance to eat.
It was busy working at the severy counter cum cashier and all system looking well in place and food were served fast. Cheers I shall be back.

Lunch @ Brickfields Territory, Kuala Lumpur

A Quantity Surveyor, a Steelwork Subcontractor and 3 General Builders gathered at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur for a lunch. Brickfields, K.L. is a vibrant place mostly associated with Indian community and Indian culture.
We parked our cars at YMCA and headed to a shop called Restoran Loke Fatt, No.9, Jalan Thambapillai (Tel: 03-2274-3678). Our involvement of the afternoon:-
Curry Fish Head in claypot – the fish is found to have cut into too small a piece with too much fish bones in it. Taste wise was quite alright. Stir fried tapioca leaves. I always love soup, this was a nice and simple soup.Marmite Pork ribs (too dry). The biggest disappointment is this specialty of the day, Chicken special…no special lah..

Medan Selera Kheng Heong - Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur

Three friends gathered at a Chinese restaurant for a lunch at Brickfields, along a main road of Sambanthan (just fronting Brickfields Police Station). It is a single storey building structure with several eatery shops you will not fail to find it. We ventured into these dishes:- Kangkung belacan – a localized fried vegetable, fried to the right taste. Steamed herbal village chicken in aluminum foil – it’s delicious. The chili sauce for the chicken - just like the the one for Hainanese chicken rice.A fish – tilapia steamed in Teochew style where many would think it’s a bad idea because tilapia is always associated as a fish with mud smell. But we found that this dish is well cooked & yummy. No mud smell at all. I guess these days tilapia stays in a cleaner environment no muddy situation anymore and no more muddy smell…..
I heard there several popular dishes in this place like steamed fish head, chicken boxing and many more. We will try them the next trip.
