Hainanese Coffee Shop @ L.A. (lebuh ampang) KL

This is an old coffee shop at an old commercial area of Kuala Lumpur city. Restoran Sin Seng Nam.

These are toasts with kaya & butter ready to roll out.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall…..

My choice of breakfast for RM5.00 – 2 half boiled eggs, toasted bead with kaya & butter and a glass of iced coffee.

Fresh loaves of breads stacked at a corner for the day business.

Distinguish characteristic of Sin Seng Nam Coffee Shop along Lebuh Pasar Besar. The Yellow Windows at the side of the building.

Sri Lankan Crabs @ Stadium Negara Restaurant

Thank God it’s Friday and a great dinner at Restoran Stadium Negara. The sky was still bright but we were ready for our dinner. A view of Petronas Twin Towers from where I was seated.

The night creeps in as we dine and wine…........

The 2 big and juicy Sri Lankan crabs were full of roe and the scent of BBQ was good. I love eating this.

This dish was definitely the highlight of the night…
A night full of cholesterol intake but we just could not resist the nice BBQ chicken wings, calamari and the balitong. Eat first worry later.

The bottle of whiskey has to be finished before anyone can leave the table.

The final dish was a plate of perfect fried rice…

At last the bottle was fully consumed and we said goodbye to Petronas Twin Towers.
My previous postings of this place are be seen here and here.

Kedai Makanan Yut Kee, Campbell Street, Kuala Lumpur

It was a late Sunday lunch where I brought my family to Yut Kee Coffee shop again for a Hainanese treat and the time was around 2.15pm. As usual the shop was packed with people but we were fortunate to get a table. The food was served very quickly, no complaint at all everyone was hungry.

A happy family enjoying good food that worries the father....

Yut Kee's hot selling cake, Swiss Roll RM8.00 per roll (used to be selling at RM7.00 the last time I blogged on 30 September 2007)

Yut Kee paper box for take away food......

Hainanese Chicken Chop a popular dish here in Yut Kee….

Xiang Yi ordered a boring choice, fried rice……

A bowl of stewed beef soup for everyone to try.

One of the best Hainanese cuisines, a Pork Chop with their delicious Hainanese sauce.

My choice of the day, a Hokkien Fried Mee with Yut Kee’s gorgeous sambal belacan & a squeeze of lime. Lovely... right.

Xiang Yi’s stomach is still not satisfied so a additional plate of Cantonese Fried noodle, every one of us has a hand on it, hahahaha…

Everyone was happy with the meal and has to leave for KLCC for the next activity (movie time).

Re-Visit to Restoran Stadium Negara

Today is a public holiday for Malaysia, we are celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. We had a good game of golf at Kelab Golf PDRM despite the wet condition of the golf course. Our dinner at Restoran Stadium Negara was even better, especially with the good food and drinks we had. The BBQ chicken wings were tasty and juicy. We have to forget about our cholesterol problem as we savoured this lovely sotong (squids), really really lovely. Must try!!! BaliTong, another interesting kind of shell food delicacy which you have to do a lot of kissing and sucking for the food. Stadium Negara’s signature fried ToFu. Steamed fish head. A simple dish of Stir fried Choy Sum. The wonderful & gigantic BBQ crabs were the best among all. Simply delicious, I love the meat with the slight smoke smell.. This bottle of White & Mackay to compliment to the night. And a bottle of Chinese Wine to be drank with salted plums in a Chinese tea cup.

Morning Walk to Tsun Jin School

Instead of walking on a machine in a confined room, I had a different form this morning and took a 5km to and fro walk (Dataran Merdeka to Tsun Jin High School) and enjoyed the morning happenings of heavy traffic, peoples going places rather than a monotonous atmosphere with only FM radio wave on the air and senior ladies on other equipment. These are the places I enjoyed passing by....Do you know what ENE stands for? EMPAT NOMBOR EKOR !!!
The begining of Jalan Petaling (Petaling Street) or also known as the Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur. There are these two very old Chinese temples seen here. This is Klang Bus Station. The first bus station we landed in when we first came to Kuala Lumpur to start a new life as student. We were greeted with a big "slaughter" on our first venture of Bak Kut Teh meal in this very Bus Station. Our first Bak Kut Teh costed us a lot of money. We were definitely being "slaughtered" ....damn that Bak Kut Teh seller....

Malaysia has a lot of eating places everywhere, in the shops, at the car parks, at the back lanes, at the public parks but this one underneath a road flyover (Jalan Kinabalu) and I picked the stall with the longest queue for food and the stall sells nasi lemak. Well, time for breakfast after all the walking and the site visit. My RM4.00 (about US$1.30) breakfast with a glass of warm lime juice. Another heritage building of Malay Architectural. Kuala Lumpur oldest wet market now converted into a retail complex selling local handicrafts. An old form of transportation of yesteryear, a bullock cart found outside the Central Market.
Backed to Dataran Merdeka, a common place for tourists to come here and enjoy the unique view here.
