Nasi Lemak Pak Ayob @ Ali's Corner Shah Alam

I had never had any appointment at Section 20 of Shah Alam before and there is a famous Nasi Lemak in Section 20 called Nasi Lemak Pak Ayob. Near a hospital and behind Petronas Petrol Station. You get it here too at Restoran Ali's Corner which is a stone throw away.
The sambal and the warm nasi lemak were gorgeous.

Restoran Hai Thian 海天酒家 @ Equine Park

Couple of years back the Hai Thian Restaurant I visited was located in another part of Seri Kembangan which was near a Petronas gas station.
The new Restoran Hai Thian is huge consisting 10 units of shop lot and was crowded on this Saturday, we were there for a special occasion.

Fried groupa fish topped with sourish apple salad - interesting & yummy.
Kai Lan veggie stir fried with shredded preserved veg.
Deep fried pork meat delicious indeed.
Pumpkin Special with fish maw, mushroom, fish paste.
Salted yegg flavour calamari in claypot I did not touch it as I am on a fast on this seafood. ):
A treat hosted by Lai Yoong and many thanks to her.
And this was the special occasion, it was Lai Yoong & Wei Xiang Birthday. Happy Birthday to both of them.

Lake Garden - A Park within the City of Kuala Lumpur

A green lung in the heart of Kuala Lumpur covering an area of  91.6 hectares. If you want to walk around the park and see most of the corners then it could be strenuous.
So we packed our folding bikes into a vehicle and off we went to Lake garden.
After all the "pusing" at the park we were at Muzium Negara. What a discovery.
Beautiful flowers and plants seen at every corner of the park.
So nice to be a kid.... ice cream after a short ride.
I went over to this newly wed couple and congratulate them.
Misai Kucing a.k.a Java tea @ Herbal Garden which is known for its good anti oxidant content.
This is one huge rubber tree in Lake Garden.
I really enjoyed this scenic garden of Kuala Lumpur.

Nothing like cycling in a big park....
We visited the Orchid Garden too and there are so many types.

It was drizzling when we started but that did not dampen the spirit of the super keen kids from cycling. Fortunately the drizzle lasted for only a short spell and had a good weather for the rest of the evening.

Colourful and interesting tunnel linking to Muzium Negara.
Riding round and round seeking for new places.
Zu Yi getting close to a friend at the Lake side.
He loves the carpet turf and wishes that he could stay longer and sleep.
A tree resembling a huge straw man.
A good place for a concert.
Welcome to Kuala Lumpur
After the ride at the park I thought it was good enough for the day and time to go back but the kids wanted more so I had to take them to the Police Museum. We could only see the exhibits outside the buildings as it was late and was already closed.

Restoran Xan Ling Cafe (Segambut)

We supposed to visit Lau Kau for pork rib porridge but was informed that it was closed for repair. A tree felled onto the premise. My colleague then suggested Xan Ling Cafe.
The tables and chairs are solid furniture and not like some shops with plastic foldable tables & plastic chairs. Though business was very good that day but the our food was served pretty fast.
Braised chicken feet slight spicy but yummy.
Homemade noodle soup with pork ribs and prawns, the stock was so gorgeous.
Braised Soy sauce pork was tender and delicious.
Room temperature Tee Ah Koay with sauce. I like with the soy sauce pork.
The whole slab chunk of Tee Ah Koay.
For pork rib porridge you have to call first and 45 minutes required.

Lee Koon Fishball Noodle @ Jalan Zaaba, Rahang Negeri Sembilan

I thought Rahang is a small town near Seremban but it looks like Rahang is part of Seremban. Anyway a friend brought me here for a good fish ball noodle which was already in my "To Visit" list that I have extracted from Sam Cheong's article sometimes late last year.
Some of the fish paste related variety have been sold out by the time I was there. The severy counter is right at the front of the shop and the business was good.
That was left for me to savour, I saw Yong Tau Foo at other tables I will try them next time.
Kon Loh (dry version) yellow noodle with dark soy sauce and minced meat topping. The noodle doesn't look like those in KL not that glossy.
A better view of the fish balls & others on my noodle.
Good crowd and continuous flow of customers during lunch hour.
Don't miss the sambal belacan sauce and it goes pretty well with the delicious fish balls.
