This is another wonderful day for me. I just got an email from a long lost friend, he is Mr. Wong Kok Choo. A friend formerly from Lunas but now has settled down in Ipoh. I first met him in Sultan Badlishah School, Kulim in 1974 and since I left the secondary school I have lost touch of him. We shall meet up one day soon. Be it in Ipoh or Kuala Lumpur, we shall meet.

Nowadays, the young Indians in Malaysia have shunned away from such profession and have to employ barbers from India.

The morning weather was perfect and the condition of the golf course was also perfect except my golf score was not perfect. In fact it was horrible.

I was playing with two low handicappers Zakaria Hashim and Daniel Kwan, the other ball did not turn up, Dr. Sulaiman. Maybe the Doctor has got house call to attend.

What you see here are cars belonging the customers of Lan Je. The neighboring shops are still unoccupied.
The ever famous Lan Je steamed Tilapia fish, normally a fish for a person in order to satisfy your meal. Lots of ginger and chilli padi.
This one is less spicy and hot (no chilli padi in it)
Here a typical order for 5 people. Per fish costs RM13.00 onwards.
I love this dish tofu cooked with prawns. This restaurant is pork free; hence you can bring your Muslim friends to try this delicacy.
After we have finished our meeting at Tampoi, I took the Lai’s Brothers to Kulai for Bak Kut Teh (BKT done the Kulai way) at Restoran Soon Futt. It is located along the main road of Kulai (same row with an oversea bank). 
This is my second visit here and now they have expanded their premises with nice décor and it is air-conditioned.
The couple running this BKT shop is a dancing enthusiast.

Yeaw Char Koay is served in a different way, theirs is barbequed slightly. Good idea, it burns off the extra oil found on the Yeaw Char Koay. 
A pot of mixed BKT, the soup is plain but tasty. 
The dark sauce BKT is equally nice where the pork leg is well cut and selected, dried bean curds are found in this dish (different again from KL). 
We also ordered a plate of Assam fish. Well, it tasted good too.
Chilli served here is with dark soya sauce.
Having a meal of BKT must have a bowl of rice. 
After our lovely late lunch, we headed to Muar, actually slightly outskirt of Muar, a place called Bakri to visit a potential job site.
