Dim Sum at Restoran Pudu Cafe

It was the seventh day of Chinese New Year, Tuck Cheong was all sold out by 9.30am and the next place I could think of was Restoran Pudu Cafe at the wet market of Pudu.
Yes it still opened with plenty to eat, we managed to grab a table for three and enjoy a pot of Chinese tea with some dim sum.
Lo Mai Kai to share...
The Indonesian lady would be uttering "goreng goreng" dim sum as she moves around the shop with the food.
It was another nice old school dim sum in Kuala Lumpur and the few surviving ones in town.

Restoran Pudu Cafe might sounds western but is's an old school with mostly senior citizens in the shop.
A common sight of daily lives of seniors and how they spend their morning.
It's always packed with regulars and early birds in the wet market.

I decided to buy a Brompton sometime September 2014 via an online purchase and having a friend to bring it back home from England. And it was only after having several units of folding bikes and a plan to travel oversea with a folding bicycle that prompted me to buy the most compact folding bicycle.
Trying out the brand new B and mind you the shifting of gears is different from others and one has to get use to it. Similarlly one has to get used to its folding mechanism but slowly and surely one shall master it.
I named this iron horse as Bekay (BK) basically because of it colour. Why B because it for Brompton or Brazil and "K" because it's for Kedah the state that I was born that's "Hijau Kuning". As time goes by I tend to like BK for its agility, convenient and portability.
I have never regretted taking up this lovely hobby of pedalling small wheels, it has taken me to many places and events. They were all memorable and interesting. I hope it will continue to bring me more joy and allow me to see more beautiful happenings in the future. Let's cycle and hApPyCycling.

Restoran Top One at SS2 - A new Steamboat Outlet

A new food outlet is opened at SS2/10 a.k.a.Wai Sek Kai, the up and coming glutton street of SS2 and it's a steamboat restaurant.
We were there on the first day of the opening not by invitation but walking in coincidentally. Things weren't going smoothly on this day the boat was having difficulty to boil the soup as the flame contact with the pot was too far apart.
The presentation of the ingredient was up to mark with a variety of ingredients, charging at RM16.00 person for a standard portion.
An extra order of a portion of thinly sliced pork meat.
Pan Mee & lots of green veggies.
Side orders like prawns balls, fish balls, cuttlefish balls, balls with minced pork etc etc that you can choose.
The pinched Pan Mee noodle was something interesting to savour while eating a steamboat meal. Most of us gave a thumb up for this Pan Mee.
Home prepared steam chicken is highly recommended by the proprietor and yes we love it just like the homemade taste and it went super with the red chilli paste below.
My family in-laws surely like spicy stuff and they enjoyed this paste very much with the steamed chicken

Lunch at Restoran Township Sekinchan after a Cycling Exploration

After a good cycling exploration in Sekinchan where we visited a couple of interesting places in this town famous for its fishing & paddy produce, obviously we were very hungry and were gamed for a good local meal. Here we were at this relatively new restaurant crowded but some of us managed to grab some tables while others had theirs at the other restaurant which was a few doors away.
It's a shrimp delicacy even though the prawns were small in size but the fried was awesome. I really like this dish.
Fried mantis prawns with dried chilli was also delicious.
A steam fish simple yet gorgeous. It was fresh and tender.
A leafy green veggie that was stir fried to a perfect liking.
More delicious veggie - slices of bitter gourd fried with eggs that was not oily and it was yummy.
A soup with thick Lala clams - another super duper nice sea food. Basically the food in Sekinchan is good and pricing is reasonable .

I love Sekinchan and would love to come back for another night stay in this lovely town for the sunset, paddy field, fruits and of course their sea foods. Till then we shall meet again.
