Bitter Gourd Cantonese Fried Kuay Teow @ Air Panas

Have you ever tried Cantonese fried kuay teow with bitter gourd, I tell you, it is really delicious and if you want to sample this great dish you can go to this food stall in a old food court just opposite the Bandaraya Market at Air Panas, Setapak. Beside the food court is a big playing field.

We have been enjoying this lovely dish whenever we go for our weekend marketing at Air Panas. It's simply different and great food for breakfast. It seems that these days noodles serving with bitter gourd are getting popular.......

Wan Tan Mee @ Sri Rampai, Setapak

Where to get good & delicious Wan Tan Mee in Setapak area. You can get a really good Wan Tan Mee at this shop called "Restoran Ya-Ka-Fook" (used to be called as Ya-Ka-Can) @ Jalan 45A/26, Sri Rampai, Setapak.
This Hainanese, a real icon of this coffee shop, a distinguish character with his moody attitude, I guess he is a typical Hainanese.... That's his Assistant in brown Tee shirt (below) and also his wife. Poor lady can really stand his "wind". BUT, yes but, his Wan Tan Tan Mee is truly great and wait till you try his wantan, lagi best....
So good that I forget to snap pictures of my plate of Wan Tan Mee, I already sank it into my mouth. Promise I will take pictures of the noodle the next time I re-visit.

Chappati Breakfast @ Tunku Abdul Rahman Road

One of the few Chappati joints which I like to frequent and this one is located at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. A "no name" shop and entrance from behind, of course operated by a Sikh, somewhere very near Coliseum Theatre .

This outlet is also related to the chappati shop at Jalan Pahang posted previously, see hereeeee .

Carlsberg Golf Classic @ Police Golf Course KGT

This annual Golf Competition sponsored by the famous brewery, Carlsberg @ Kelab Golf Titiwangsa, Polis Diraja Malaysia. The response from participants was always good and has to be played into 2 games (one in the morning and the other in the afternoon), mainly beacuse this golf course is a 9 holes course and can not accomodate too many players at one go.

Last year Carlsberg could not sponsor the game as the golf course was still under repair.
Getting ready to roll......
From Tee Box No.1
Beautiful pond of lotus flowers.

The flight in front of us.
The weather was excellent, cloudy hardly see KLCC Twin Tower from here.

I played 6 over my handicap of 21. Front 9 of a score of 52 and back 9 of a score of 47, a total score of 99......

Pan Mee @ Jinjang North "Big Eye"

This coffee shop has only a noodle stall operating and that sells Pan Mee and nothing but Pan Mee. Apparently, Tuaa Mark (Big Eyes) used to operate in another coffee shop but now has grown BIG just like his eyes. Yes, just like Betty Davis's eyes. And now a shop by himself...........
The time was around noon and it was crowded with people.
That's is Tuaa Mark with red apron behind the stoves, hair style of the kind that just woke up and uncombed unfortunately could not capture his face. Guess you got to go there and see yourself.........
The soup that makes the difference, rich in stock. the pan mee found to be slightly thick. And RM4.20 for this bowl with an egg in it.Bowl of fresh lime to suit your taste and the sambal belacan is similar to the Hokkien mee type, the oily type.RM1.30 glass of Kopi-O ice........
