Walk de Nine Holes

Walking 9 holes golf at KRPM either on the 3rd or 4th nine, it will take us approximately 1½ to 2 hours to complete the walk and the walk can cover a distance of almost 3 kilometres. It all depends on the game at the particular day; it depends on how severe and wild our shots are being executed, the wilder the shot the longer time required looking for the ball.

Sand bucket for divot repair.

Bag on trolley in lieu of buggy or turfmate.

Preparing to launch a Tiger Wood’s drive.

Successful birdie attempt .

This is a good and interesting form of exercise comparing doing a monotonous exercise in the gym. At the golf course there are so many possible happenings, sometimes good golf but most times bad golf. But most importantly you are enjoying the exercise in a nature atmosphere with the beauty of the flora & fauna: birds, insects, reptiles, squirrels and also being able to see different behaviour of homo sapiens.

Pan Mee @ Kepong Garden

This is my No.1 favourite Pan Mee stall of all the pan mee I have tried. The pan mee I normally order is the “hand job” type. Over here, they not only hand peel from the dough but it is briefly soaked in water and then stretch before going into the cooking pot.

The ingredients found in the bowl of noodle are spinach, ikan billis, foo chok & “Yee what” (fish paste).

The stall is housed in Restoran Jaya Corner and is located along Jalan Kuang Gunung, Taman Kepong. If you are coming from MRR2; then into Jalan Taman Bukit Maluri: turn left into Jalan Kepong Baru; immediately after going down the overhead bridge make a careful and immediate turn into Jalan Kuang Gunung. Restoran Jaya Corner is a wooden shed annexed to a 4 storey walkup apartment called “Happy Court”.
Various versions of pan mee available here.

Home Cooked Dishes @ Paramount Garden

If you are craving for some simple home cooked dishes, I would recommend Restoran Ping Wah at Jalan 20/23, Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya. The shop signage in the front is so old that you have to strain your eyes to figure out the name. This shop has been around in Paramount for more than 35 years and it is still very popular. There are patrons whom have been eating at the shop since bachelor days and are still visiting the place but this time with their families.
There are two favourite dishes in this place;

" Ma Yeaw Yee"

"Ho Lan Shi Chee Yoke".

The operator of this shop is none other than Mr. Teoh Ah Geok (my father in-law lah)
assisted by his daughter, Ah Chan and son in-law Ah Chong. They will be retiring from this business by year end and will be taken over by a new management.

"Hum Yee Cheng Chee Yoke" A lot of my friends are now frequenting the place before the new management takes over.

"Sam Yong Tan"

Simple food yet lovely. Go try the foods and I guarantee you will not regret. Happy hunting.

Nasi Lemak @ Village Park Damansara Utama

It was a wet morning the moment when I started my journey to office and was still raining when I found the place I wanted to go i.e. Village Park at Damansara Utama (5, Jalan SS21/37) for my nasi lemak venture. This is a well operated food outlet, a popular one, clean and service is pretty good.
I ordered a typical nasi lemak with additional sambal sotong and assam fish which amounted to RM8.50. And a RM1.20 Teh-O kurang manis .The nasi lemak was tasty, sweet & spicy and the rice is equally good.

Business along the 5 foot way.

RSC Junior Soccer Programme @ Astaka, P.J.

The future of Malaysian soccer now lies in the hands of these kids. This is their usual Sunday training of the under 8 year old group at Padang Astaka, Petaling Jaya. Their official field is under some kind of sub-soil upgrading drainage works and should be ready by a month time
