Nasi Kandar could be addictive at times that is why some called it Nasi Ganja. Over in Ipoh @ Jalan Yang Kalsom where you find this Chinese coffee shop with a famous Nasi Kandar stall selling Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah.
It was 3.30pm I was looking for lunch (hoping for something different) and I saw this queue during this odd hour. I told myself it must be good & must try; actually I was looking for curry noodle. Forget that noodle & eat here.
Tau Pau (take away) corner was busy just take note of the thick old newspapers on the table all for the Tau Pau…. And a glass of iced kopi “O” with Nasi Kandar would be a perfect combination @ Yong Suan.
Nothing complicated just a normal rice with a piece of Ayam Merah, curry prawns, cucumber, mixture of curry gravies and a yellowish curry paste.
All these in this plate for RM7.60 pretty pricey but worth it. The taste & aroma of this nasi kandar were gorgeous. No wonder patrons keep on coming in even at this hour of time.

My gold standard for nasi kandar...better than most joints in Penang. The best part is u don't feel sleepy after a heavy meal here & u keep comin back for more...anytime!
