Christmas Lunch at Tapah, Perak - Jolly Good

It was Christmas Day a group of eight went up north for a food trail. We gathered at Taman Tun Dr Ismail @ Yong Len Coffee Shop for breakfast around 10am and proceeded to Tapah for an eel delicacy. My “Loh Kum”, Tay Kok Leong led us to Zong Meng.

The highlight of this Christmas lunch was this eel dish fried with dried chili. The meat is firm and chewy not like those “Unagi” found in Japanese restaurants which are soft. Thumb up for this Tapah “wong sin”.

La clam was fresh & delicious, the aroma of ginger was so pleasant.

Deep fried Lemon grass chicken wings was everyone’s favourite too, it was gorgeous.

Paku veggie fried with belacan was crunchy with slight sappy taste but yummy.

Haruan fish fillet another Tapah popular dish but I prefer the eel.

Zong Meng’s Seafood Tofu cuisine. Pretty good.
This is the eating crew, satisfied and looking forward for the next destination.

The total damage for such a lovely lunch in Tapah was only RM84.00. We shall come again Zong Meng.

Cat Cat - wow that a great coincidence. It's nice to know that you are reading from the States. Are you from Tapah?
