OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2013 Here We Come

The long awaited event has finally come though it was pushed forward to another week due to certain unforeseen situation in Kuala Lumpur. Many were disappointed but it made not difference to us in fact my neighbours were able to register themselves at the last minute. From Setiawangsa, 7 of us in two vehicles all packed up and ready for the day.

We parked our cars at Titiwangsa Golf Club and a lovely group photo session for the record. I hope the young ones will remember this when they are older.
It was an experience taking these young ones from Lake Titiwangsa to KLCC, over here we were waiting for the green light at Jalan Tun Razak.
Our breakfast at Kampong Pandan Curry Fish Head @ Jalan Yap Kwan Seng
We arrived at KLCC in time and met a number of friends, thanks to Cycling Malaysia Magazine for taking this picture.
Waiting for the loud siren and the flag off and the time was near 8.30 in the morning.
Friends that I have encouraged to come like the Tey's & Freeman Chean's families were in the event. I am glad that they have enjoyed it and I am sure they are looking forward taking part in more of such events.
Making a U-turn at Jalan Parlimen.
Going uphill at Jalan Tun Ismail.
Closing to the finishing point @ KLCC
Ride completed and grab your medal.
Her first ever cycling medal, she rode 24km in the event plus 6km to and fro Titiwangsa Lake. Bravo !!!
My boys did it and I hope they will participate in more events with me.
This uncle had a good time on a beautiful Sunday morning in the city of Kuala Lumpur with roads closed temporary for the event.
All good things have to come to an end and that's it. The long awaited and talk of OCBC Cycle Malaysia event is over. Time for us to cycle back to Titiwangsa.
We have safely reached Titiwangsa with no major incident except a fall from Zu Yi. All loaded and ready to go for a lunch.
Some of the many friends of mine in the riding fraternity. Cheers to all my friends and see you again.
Lunch at 1 Stop Cafe, Ipoh Road. Just wondering what's the difference between "The Community Ride" and "The Foldies Community Ride".
Thank you OCBC. See you next year or maybe Singapore.

The route we took for this event.
