How I Fared in CFAL5 Round Island Ride - 82km in 4 hrs 20mins

This is my second attempt for CFAL and this time I was determined to do better than the previous year. My last year share was something like this.
6:40am - a breakfast of toast bread, 2 half boiled eggs & a cup of kopi "O"
The food stalls weren't ready for us except for bread & eggs and that was breakfast. My fuel for CFAL5.

7:18 - Ehfan of STAR Cycling Team overtook me...
7:37 - Turning into Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone
7:55 - End of Bayan Lepas Airport Runway.
8:11 - Teluk Kumbar town
8:14 - Coming out of the small town.
8:23 - Somewhere going uphill of Teluk Kumbar hike.
8:30 - bumped into Clement from Kuala Lumpur...still at the climb of Teluk Kumbar
8:45 - Turning somewhere at the vicinity of Pulau Betong
9:04 - Seeing the 1st Water Station
9:15 - Just wanted to eat something a roti canai & Teh "O" kurang manis was prefect.
9:22 - many riders stopped here for food & rest. I reckon this is the junction to Kg. Jalan Baru
9:29 - the beginning of another climb
9:39 - Air Terjun Titi Kerawang - Cycling Team from Taiping "Heritage"
9:49 - still climbing and saw this Penang friend with his wife.
9:50 - the rain was getting heavier some took shelter at this durian stall
10:11 - I took a stop for this shot at Teluk Bahang Dam
10:28 - Hard Rock Cafe Hotel
10:32 - Beaches on the way to Batu Ferringhi
10:36 - Water Station in front of Park Royal Hotel.
11:05 - Batu Ferringhi ... here I come & let's go for the finishing line.
11:08 met them again, Xinme & Ann at Tanjung Tokong
11:12 - Roundabout of Gurney Drive.
11:13 - Finishing the stretch of Gurney Drive
11:20 - the finishing line was a matter of a few seconds away.
11:21 - my watch & photo recorded 11:21am
A simple ceremony of medal presentation by Larry .... Thanks Bro!!!
My brothers whom have done better time.... I am glad that I managed to complete the ride for another time.
The folding bicycle that I used for this event - Dahon Jetstream P8.
The rider was tired so was the horse.
All drenched and bodily tired ... all I needed was a good rest.
Thanks again Larry for the wonderful hospitality.
Thank You CFAL for a wonderful event. Looking forward for another round island event.

Sin, the photo at 9:22 is at Sungai Pinang. It's the end of Jalan Sungai Rusa and the start of Jalan Telok Bahang; just after the junction that leads to Pantai Acheh.
Many cyclists stop here for a short rest before taking on the second climb which starts just after the Chines temple.
