It’s Friday, January 23, 2009 and last day of work before the celebration of Chinese New Year in 2 days time. Many of us will be heading back to our respective home towns starting from today.
Our office had a lunch at Restoran Choong Foong, Kampung Melayu Subang with the usual Yee Sang (raw fish) as the first dish. It supposes to bring prosperity to everybody in the coming new year. Braised pork trotter. Steamed pompret. Food, food, food and food, drink, drink, drink, drink. That is all about Chinese New Year. Also there will be also lot of gambling for some people.
In the evening, my friends from PDRM Club had a simple celebration @ Twilight Zone to wrap up the year of the Rat and welcoming the Year of the Bull. Another Yee Sang do, lots of singing, darting and poco poco dancing. It was great fun.
Happy Chinese New Year to all of you. Drive home safely and enjoy your holidays.
