Being old, conservative and being from an oriental background it was difficult to coax the elderly to visit any Italian restaurant but I managed to bring them to Silver Spoon Trattoria and at the same time for the young boys to experience such cuisine.
My mother must have rice for dinner she will be upset if there is no rice in any meal she takes. Got risotto mah…..
We started with Escargot.
Stuffed Calamari (I like this dish) & Duck Confit (the meat was tough)....
Steaks for the kids and they want them with fries.......and that can be done.
Lamb Shank – tender lamb shank braised in white wine, vegetable with brown lamb stock served with risotto (rice cake) & Grilled baby Snapper.
stuffed portobello mushrooms & Home made Chicken Liver Pate
Vongole - spaghetti with fresh la la clam, chilli, garlic. parsley & olive oil.
We wish to thank my mother for this treat and fortunately she was fine with the dinner especially together with our good neighbour.

nice to hear your family enjoyed the dinner! i know what u mean ... my grandparents, uncles and aunts all will only eat at chinese outlets too, so it's impossible to take them anywhere else whenever they visit kl :D
Sean - I think it's a common problem among the old & young generation.
How was it? nice? passed by this restaurant always, but wonder how's the food & price..
oh ya..wondering did u come across a Italy restaurant @ solaris dutamas?
i've scathing my head..can't recalled the name..
