Good Lunch (Tai Chow) @ Ngau Kee, Ipoh Road

Ngau Kee is the Chinese name of this shop and for those who do not read Chinese then is Sin Ban Fatt as appeared in the signboard. An old makan place along Ipoh Road, Kuala Lumpur even the electrical fittings (switches) in the shop are old…
Ngau Kee serves only lunches and everyday there will be a few tables marked “Reserved” in Chinese words on recycled paper from cigarette carton boxes.. It is always packed during the peak hours.

This steamed minced pork could have been better if it was a little bit moist.. too dry for a steamed dish.
Fried brinjal until soft with small dry shrimp is always our favourite it’s smooth and delicious….

Stir fried tapioca leaves with garlic simple yet good.
And lastly a steamed white pomfret did in a Teochew style as the main attraction of the meal. What a tasty gravy and a delicious pomfret fish.
