Village Chicken Restaurant @ SS2 Petaling Jaya

To sustain a good business in a competitive condition is not easy, one has to be innovative and fast enough to change to the demanding market. This outlet of 2 shop lots has shrunk into 1 and judging from the business today I have to say it’s bad. Gone were the days where their business was so good.
As for the quality of the food, it has also plummeted. Something has to be done before everybody say goodbye to this place.

The chicken rice no doubt is cooked but it looks uncooked.
The deep fried fish “Wan Yee Lum” was not impressive, the fried colour of the fried fish was too dark (as you can see in the picture). It must be the quality of the re-used cooking oil. The shredded ginger was also not properly fried….

The signature dish Village Chicken was dull and unappealing….

The stewed pork was also as boring even though palatable.

Stir fried Kangkong veggies were alright except for the amount of anchovies on the dish. It was not generous enough.
You better watch out, Village Chicken Restaurant.....
