It was 1.45p.m. on a Sunday afternoon you can see these thorny fruits being unloaded from a lorry at Pondok Durian Sri Rampai, Kuala Lumpur. This one of the many durian stalls in Setapak area and a popular one among the locals. It is strategically located near a lake @ Sri Rampai, Setapak (GPS location : 3.196178,101.728302). Well, if you are living around this area then this is the perfect place for durian. You need not have to travel elsewhere to sample this King of Fruits.
These durians are fresh from Pahang and I was crazy again for durian lunch.
There is a variety of durian here from the basic village fruits (durian kampong) to all the Dee Dee… such as D24 D101 etc etc....Guess it’s Durian season now, let get crazy but be careful when you burp.. ha ha ha aha…..
This fruit of D101 specie – Musang King is creamy, sweet, small seed and good aroma @ RM8.00 per kg – RM12.00 for this one.
Look at the strong colour of this thorny fruit, it is the undisputed King of Fruits.
