I used to work around this area back in the early 90’s and had been frequenting this coffee shop especially for breakfast. The place is still as brisk as before. 
But this porridge stall was not there at that time, in fact there wasn’t any stall at all at this corner of the road. Now you see a young man selling unique congee served in clay pots. 
A pot of super hot congee ready for the test sitting on an aluminium foiled basket. And it was delicious indeed…… 
My wonderful congee with Grouper fish meat and squid, what a congee of the day. Oh, the damage for this satisfaction was RM16.00.
Fresh ginger stripes and chopped spring onions to enhance the flavour of the congee, and if that is not good enough then try the chilli padi…Restoran U Like ItJalan Desa Bakti
