A Dose of Indonesian Padang Foods in Little Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur

You have heard of 24 hours Mamak Stalls, but have you ever heard of 24 Hours Masakan Padang (Indonesia) Stall. Yes! There is this stall at Jalan Raja Alang that serves 24 hours Indonesia foods starting from 1st of February 2010 and that is “Restoran Seri Garuda Emas”.

My friend, Danny Chan brought me here to savour some Padang food in the vicinity of “Little Jakarta” in Chow Kit of Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Andy, the Owner of the Stall was there to catch up with Danny and informed us that he will be expanding the premises soon.

Sambal of Red and Green were gorgeous. These were surprisingly not as “HOT” as our Malaysian Sambal belacan. No sweat man for those Northern Malaysian people. We really love hot stuff……

A selection of healthy Ulam was set for our lunch.
Curry squids were delicious with strong coconut milk gravy that makes you eat with lot of plain rice.

Ayam Kampung Goreng Panas - is a popular dish in this place and it was indeed a delicious fried village chicken.

Sup Tulang – a plain beef soup that was nice and not oily which surprises me of it clearness’.

Udang Sambal Petai – it was another tasty dish which I enjoyed very much with the right taste of saltiness and fragrant of prawns & petai.

Restoran Seri Garuda Emas36, Jalan Raja Alang,
Kuala Lumpur.

Yeah, we LOVE our spicy food. yesterday I downed a few pieces of cili padi for the sake of torturing my palate.

Only to suffer the consequences this morning. :)

Happy weekend.
