Typical Teochew Porridge @ Jalan Stesen 1, Klang Town

The traffic system in Klang Town is horrendous and confusing. Even Garmin is confused and continuously in a 'recalculating' mode.

I found this old shop at Jalan Stesen 1 and I was glad to find porridge in this shop. Restoran Sin Teo Hing sells Teochew Porridge. What a nostalgic meal, a meal of Teochew porridge.

Jar of brown bean sauce on the table.

A steamed but dry Kambong Fish (a kind of mackerel) top it with a bit of brown bean sauce. There were 4 left on the severy counter. I took one and have not been able to find such fish done in such a way for a long time.

The taste was wonderful.

A simple braised egg and pork meat.
Plain and watery rice porridge I had one and half bowl of it. And it was so satisfying....

There is an old black and white photo hanging on the wall of our late First Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman shaking hands with one Chinaman (probably the owner of this shop).

Once in a while hubby and I would go for Teochew porridge. And order many small small dishes to go with the porridge. ^-^ The fish looks great.
